Hey, just figured I'd say hi on the boards. Takes too long for you to check PM's sometimes. ;) LOL!

And yes, I'm the impatient sort. ;)

LMAO!!!
Hi, Mel! I was just listening to Willy singing She Bang again....I'll check out the remix tomorrow (later today, actually).
I love the fact that there's a site dedicated to him!

I know, isn't it the cutest, Pinky?
Hey, speaking of music, I have 2 questions for ya -
1) Do you like the Beatles?
2) Do you like Peter Gabriel?
:) Random yes but I have a point.

Are you kidding me?????
I was just on the BSB board, in a discussion about who is more musically talented...BSB or the Beatles. As if it's even an issue!!!!
I absolutely LOVE the Beatles! I was fortunate enough to see them live twice, in '64 and '66.
Peter Gabriel is very good. I'm not a real great fan of his, but I do like his stuff.
Why all the randomness?

There's a song I want you to hear. A remake of Eleanor Rigby. It's got a real Peter Gabriel vibe to it, though.
I'm totally digging it - so much so that I can't stop listening to it, actually, lol. Just something I dug up and I'm loving it.

If you have time, take a listen. I am sitting here jamming out, with my headphones on so I can blast it.

Well, I'm at work now, so I'll listen later when I get home.
I love Eleanor Rigby! I think it's one of the most complex songs they ever did. I can't even imagine it done any other way, so I'm really interested to see what this guy has done with it.

Now I'm quite interested, because (sorry) I don't know the original. Though I'm going to dig it up now. 99 times out of 100 the original is clearly better... but I hope he did it justice.
Without having heard the original, I dig it a lot. We'll see how I feel afterwards. :)

Well, although I truly love the original, this is pretty good.....a very contemporary twist on it.
Personally, I like the Beatles' arrangement much better. That may be due to the fact that it's the only one I've known for, oh, 35+ years!
I'll say this: I think John Lennon would like this a LOT!

I have to dig up the original now. I think Jenn has some Beatles CD's... so I'll check it out. :)

It's on Revolver (one of the very best Beatles' albums, IMO, along with Rubber Soul), and also on Anthology 2.

I dig the original. No surprise. It's typical Beatles fashion. :) And I dig the Beatles. ;)
