That's a seriously ambitious role. I thought he was only playing a small part... that's not a small part, from the sounds of it...
I hope he can handle it. He's jumping right into the big leagues, and as much as he annoys me (lol, I'm being honest) I don't want to see him fail at this, or drop the ball on a movie with people like Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey. A lot is going to be expected of him in this role.
I think he has the potential to be a really good actor (let's try NOT to consider "Model Behavior") but I was hoping he'd start with small roles.
Well, good luck to him either way. I'll go catch the movie next year. Kevin Spacey and Morgan Freeman are my two favorite actors, so I'm sure he'll learn a LOT.

Sounds like a pretty serious role!
Mel, I keep telling myself that the script for Model Behavior was pretty lame. I think Justin could have looked better with decent material.

I may have to take a trip to Vancouver this spring.

Oh DEFINITELY, the MB script was... well I mean it was a Disney tv movie. Of course it wasn't going to be serious acting material.
I think he'll do well. It's just a big role for ANY brand new actor to take as a first one. If he does well, it could make him, and we could be looking at the next big actor thing in Hollywood. If it doesn't, he'll be a punchline. Either way, I guess he'll make money. ;)
We'll see in a year. Would be funny if he won an Oscar though, lol.

Even though he annoys the hell out of me most of the time, I believe he's one of those people who's just so damned good at everything he does that I don't think an Oscar would be out of the question.
I hate to admit that. :manson:

Well...personally...he never annoys me, so I'm more than happy to see him more. However...I'm still wondering when he's going to take a much needed vacation. Between the movie and his next solo CD and NSync's CD (hopefully), the boy is still going non-stop! :)

I'm with you, can't imagine ever being annoyed by Justin!:D
I'm very excited about this movie role. Supposedly, he was offered a number of parts in "teen" movies. I'm glad he waited until the right part came along.

I wish him well.
I agree in that it could be a really good thing, but it could also be a disaster. I think he does have a natural acting ability, I just think it might have been smarter to start out in a smaller role and then go from there after you are well received. Not saying he should have accepted the "teenie" rolls, because lord knows he is trying to get away from that terrible stigma. Just maybe not a main character right out of the gates.
My fear (or maybe that isn't the correct term - lol) is that he is going to get burned out or worse yet *gasp* the general public will get burned out on him.

I agree. I wouldn't want him to be a J. Lo.
