My daughter just called and said that the board is going to be considering her tomorrow for her certification as a substitute teacher in the Guildford County School System. She has a BA degree in psychology and has taken grad courses toward being certified as a special education teacher. She applied some time ago but because in her last job (she never really made it past probationary status) she made a lousy bank teller (long story and is funny) since she cannot return to her former employment, there is some question about whether they will license her as a substitute. She has a job lined up at an elementary school already as a special education teacher but the position is frozen due to funding cuts and the principal of the school really wants her and has wanted her for some time and her plan is to start my daughter as a sub until the position unfreezes.
I am calling on all prayer cirles and pray-ers I can reach that if it is His will that they license her to be a substitute and she go on to fulfill God's plan for her life. She really feels called to this and she has some experience as her half-sister is autistic.
Please pray this. Thanking you in advance for your kind attention to this matter, I remain insane and ever your Geeze.

Geeze, being the non-Christian that I am.. I'll send some of my good vibey-vibes out to the powers-that-be that everything turns out well for your daughter. Cool? :)

Absolutely, Geeze! (I'm a substitute teacher!)
I'll also be praying for the funding to come through for the full-time position.

UPDATE:
Got a call from my daughter this morning...........drum roll, please....................taking this to mean God is still Large and In Charge......................wait for it.........................they told her to report for orientation this coming Wednesday.
The board was supposed to meet and supposed to meet, the guy who had taken an interest in her case kept being busy on something else and had a difficult time getting there (because he wanted to present her case personally), there were several days of snow and aaahhhsse (Southern for ice) and we were all "Your Will, God, not ours" but it was a real nail-biter. I must have called her twice a day, excepting the weekend at least and my daughter, being of a more emotional temprament than yours truly, it was pure anguish.
Anyhoo, the guy goes, "Your persistence has paid off. You're in." I'm taking that to mean also in the metaphysical sense. Those people were just bomBARded with good wishes, prayers, meditations and what have you, lol.
Faith in action, folks. Faith in action. Now I understand perfectly it could have gone some other way and of course it wold have to be dealt with but I just could not see how when God sets you on a path, Him not giving you the means to do the job.
As my French-murdering 8th grade history teacher would say, "Viola!"
And this kind of thing is what a lot of Christians mean by that personal relationship with God.
