anyone hear about what Ringo's planning on doing....going on tour under the name "The Beatles" with three new musicians...my boyfriend thinks he should be shot and put out of his misery of trying to live on as a Beatle, when in actuality he was indeed the weakest link of the crew. Pity, he'll probably be the last to go too...makes sense, losing them best to worst.

I've never heard of this, do you have a link to provide that will substantiate this claim? Currently, Ringo is writing material for a new album (http://abbeyrd.best.vwh.net/news/1210ringonewalbum.html) with "The Roundheads" and they plan to record it sometime in April.

Ringo also just went under the knife to address a bone spur (http://in.news.yahoo.com/040212/139/2bgdz.html).

FWIW, I think Ringo is a wonderful drummer.

I can't imagine that... Pun not intended.

But the All-Starr band always has it's own large following, so why even dare try to put another Beatles out there? Even if it was he and Paul, I'm not sure I'd like it if they used the name "Beatles".

No way! I don't believe he said that, let alone considering it.

And if Paul and Ringo were to play together again I very much doubt that they'd call themselves the Beatles. They've collaborated quite a bit over the years of course.
