I was just thinking about it lol Britney has a lot of good songs. Im not really a Britney fan but I aint gonna lie, I like some of her songs:p
It could be like:
- baby... one more time.
- Oops... I did it again
- Slave4U
- Toxic
- I Love RocknRoll
- Bottom of my Broken Heart
- Boys
- Sometimes
... I really dont know alot of Britney songs:o
Also, a few unreleased tracks and a mega mix or something.
It could also come with a DVD of her videos, etc.
Good idea, huh?:)
I dont know, or a remix album?

It would be a great idea for Britney to put out a greatest hits album, but I don't think she's had enough hits quite yet. It's kind of spotty with what she's had, not as many top 10s as Madonna, Mariah, Whitney, Janet and the other pop female artists before her. It would be mostly uptempo songs, since they account for many of her hits, and a few ballads, some underrated as well. I think she should put 15 songs on it, maybe include one of the songs live from one of her concerts to make the album a little different. I also think they should place the songs to show her growth from a teen pop queen to the sexy image she's displaying now on ITZ.

Maybe she should release an album that has her singing without
using a mic that fixes her pitch or all the studio sound editing and computer gimmicktry. That would be great.

Most of the time a greatest hits album marks the end of a career, look at BSB.

If Britney had a greatest hits album, the only singles that should be on there are...
Baby One More Time
Sometimes
Crazy
Oops!...I Did It Again
Stronger
Slave 4 U
Toxic
All the rest of her singles were flops. She could put "Me Against The Music" on there since it no one is likely to forget it anytime soon since it was a duet with Madonna (even though it performed poorly).

What? Struck a nerve. And you are telling me to get a life when your name is "Rachel Green"? Are you on "Friends"? Brit can barely sing and lipsyncs more than most people who call themselves singers. It doesn't matter to her fans anyway.

I would most likely buy it if Britney released a Greatest Hits album, but I'm not so sure if I would go anywhere near a remix album.

First of all: It was Jive Records who wanted to release a Greatest Hits album, not BSB. They basically got the choice to promote it, or not to promote it and let it do badly.
Second of all: BSB is not over. They had to take an extended break due to legal problems with Jive and their then-management. They tried to start recoding several times, but was stopped by Jive who wouldn't let them get access to producers, etc.
Third of all: BSB is currently in the studio recording their new album, which, right there, should tell you that they're not "over".

Jive may have put it out because BSB had 11 nonstop hits in the US, and they're still getting airplay a lot. And there are some songs that were hits on greatest hits albums that's I've never heard of--the first half of Hall & Oates just-released 2-CD album, I've never heard at all because they started in the '70s. I followed their more later '80s hits. So I don't think it's the end of a career, it just magnifies their career a lot more.
