Stuff magazine interviewed Monica for their April issue and asked the singer if she thought Britney Spears was talented. "I look at Britney as an entertainer," Monica responded. "I don't look at her as a singer. She will captivate an audience. She will give you a good show. If you want to see a singer, you probably should go see Christina Aguilera. She has an incredible voice." She also weighed in on *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake's vocal talents saying, "He has an incredible voice, and the fact that he'll always work with great producers will keep him a step ahead."

I think that Monica didn't want to say anything harsh about Britney's singing. Maybe she just doesn't like how Britney sings her songs live and she just detests it. Probably went to one of her concerts and wasn't impressed at all.

You are right it could be any one of those things. I know I was disappointed by her show and "singing". I think it would be better to stare at her picture while listening to the enhanced vocals on her CD-that would give the same effect as attending one of her shows. I never felt SO ripped off. :cry: :manson:

I don't see how what she said was bad. Britney is not known for her voice alone.
