There is a Chris chat going on at wwbchat.com right now. Although, I am about to rip my hair out.. people keep on talking to him like he can read what they are saying.. grr. lol

But some of the questions he answered.. someone asked about the new album and it's release. He said it's gonna be good old rock and roll. Some songs will be faster, some songs will be slower, but it will be a progression of The Young and the Hopeless.

He also said that it should be out mid-summer to fall.

And then someone else asked if they are ever gonna go back to doing club tours and he said he would like to.

Then he gave his outlook on MTV, which we all know how he feels about that. ;)

But a full transcript will be up in 48 hours. :)

Yeah, it definitely was a chat from hell. It was pissing me off how people wouldn't shut up. They were like, CHRIS I LOVE YOU! YOUR BAND IS AWESOME. I don't know how many times I said, HE CAN'T SEE WHAT YOU ARE TYPING! Oh man, it was pissing me off. lol So I left after like 10 minutes of the chat.

But just imagine it if Benji or Joel would have been there. Christ.

Chris: Hello there everybody. How is y’alll?

Q: Begin telling us briefly about your style of drumming.
The first drummer that I ever wanted to be was Dave Grohl. So...I just started learning Nirvana songs and Silver Chair songs and then I found one of my next favorite drummers who is Yuri Ruley from MXTX and I tried to learn as many styles as possible such as jazz and blues, but rock 'n roll is my favourite. I am trying to be like Travis Barker but I don't think that will ever happen. It's fun to dream, I guess. That's what I did and that's how I got where I am.

peep*peep asks: Chris, are you excited to go on Warped Tour this summer?
oh tremendously, peep*peep! I can't be wait to hang out with my friends again on the Warped Tour. That's how I started with GC.

a1ys5a asks: hey chris...if you were to bring back one band that no longer is together..who would it be?
I would like to bring back Nirvana if I could, but that is not possible. That would be a lot of fun.

guitargirl13 asks: Do you think that you have become a better drummer since you started touring?
Oh tremendously, yes! I get to play drums about an hour every single night and that's when you have to try your hardest because if you mess up, everybody hears it!

shesautomatic asks: On your upcoming album, what will be different than the young and the hopeless album and when can we expect it out?
I would say it's going to be a little more rock 'n roll. Some songs will be a bit faster; some will be a little bit slower. I think it's going to be an overall progresssion from "Young and Hopeless.” It should be out, hopefully, mid-summer to early Fall.

CaptainJackSparrow asks: Why did you choose to be a drummer? What influenced you?
I honestly never planned on being a drummer. I just got sick and tired of playing with kids who were not motivated to play and didn't care. And as most of you know, it is almost impossible to find a drummer for your band. So...I begged my dad to get me a drum kit and I became one, but I'm glad I did.

abihary asks: has being in good charlotte been an effect on your life?
Of course! I have been all over the world. I've seen things that people dream about seeing, and I have experienced them. My life is crazy!

ImHappyWondering asks: What equipment do you use?
Gretch drums, Sabian cymbals, Pro-Mark Stix, of course. oh...and Gibralter hardware

crobb2013 asks: What do you have spinning in your cd played right now? What music do you like to listen to when you have down time?
(I'm looking!) In my CD player right now is The Shins, but I love KoolKeith, NoFx and Pantera, to name a few. There are so many musical styles that I like that it would be hard to name them all.

ilive4gc asks: Hey Chris, are you going to write any songs on the new album?
We already have been. It is already in progress.

Chris many people in the chat would like to know if you read the postings in the official GC message boards?
I do whenever I can. I like to go and read the funny things that people write about.

BenjisTruckaHat asks: how important are your fans to you, and do you belive in the hype that mtv goes on with?
I love the fans! I always make an effort to go out and meet them because they ARE my future. They are the ones that come out to shows. As far as the hype about MTV, I am not much of a fan of MTV because they produce some of the WORST TV show ever and they brainwash kids into one-way dimensional outlooks on music. They try to tell kids what's cool. Overall, I just do not appreciate their main objective. They teach kids about superficiality. I hate that! Therefore, you'll never catch me faking my personality.

veryshockingpink asks: hey chris, do you think that this is what you want to do for ever? if you werent drumming or anything what would you do?
I hope to be doing this for the next while. If I did not have this, I would probably still be working at a 7-11 or at a drug rehab center where I used to work.

failed_x_senses asks: Do you think you guys will still play small clubs? or do a small club tour?
I hope so! I would really like to go back because I miss all that stuff.

falloutgirl asks: Hi Chris, I was wondering what it's like to be touring now? Is life different?
Tremendously different. It makes your home life very difficult.

xyou lost itx asks: What is your favorite thing to do after a show? party, sleep, etc...
Hang out with my friends and wander around wherever we are.

Liz asks: How do you feel about joining Good Charlotte? Is it all you expected it to be? By the way, we love you Chris!
It's a little overwhelming. It's everything and a little more and a whole lot more than I ever envisioned.

PunkRockerBaby asks: Do you have any advice for start up musicians?
Don't discount any options -- ever! Determination and patience are the key in accomplishing a goal. It just takes a long time. You're going to have some bad times but just realize that that is what it takes to get where you're going.

MaDeMaN FiAsCo asks: Since joining the band, how has your relationship with your family and local friends changed?
Actually, it's the best it has ever been because you forget all about the stupid little fights and you realize that the small amounts of time that you do have are all that really matter. True friendships never die.

PinkStrap182 asks: Chris are you gonna show up to at least one of the warped tour dates in California? I really wanna meet you! i am a big fan!
I have no idea, honestly. I hope so! Sounds like a lot of fun. I have no idea what my schedule is.

angrynerdrock2007 asks: Hello Chris! I am so glad you took the time to answer our questions. My question is out of all the shows you have done what was your favorite and memorable and why?
Thanks for showing up, angrynerdrocker2007! One of my most memorable shows was a radio show in Seattle. We told everybody to throw stuff at us on stage like it was a big arena rock show. It got a little overwhelming and we got bottles, shoes, quarters, trash, hats, shirts -- pretty much anything and everything you can think of -- thrown at us. The stage was just so trashed that the band had to play facing me because they feared getting hit in the face! I had to try to deflect bottles coming in. That's just one of them. There have been so many that I can't even begin to tell you.

Babyflowa asks: Hey Chris!! What is the weirdest question/favor a fan ever asked you?!
Babyflowa, I am thinking about that. I think it was when a mom asked if her 14-year-old daughter could hang out backstage with us. I obviously had to decline because that is just too stupid to believe.

jamabudoodle_01 asks: How do you feel about todays world leaders, and politics?
I could rant for hours about how much I really dislike our President and politics in general. Go to michaelmoore.com. He's pretty much one of my heroes.

The Room asks: Chris, Do you have any advice on how to pick out a kit without breaking the bank?
Super nice drum kits only look really good. You can find a great medium priced kit if you look around because when you get right down to it, they're all just wood. The average person would not be able to hear the difference given the right circumstances.

Bav asks: Does it ever hurt your face when you do your "silly drum face"?
No, I don't even realize I am doing it usually. That's my concentration. (which is pretty ridiculous)

crobb2013 asks: During sound check what songs do you usually cover? Any Green Day or Rancid songs?
We'll play "Welcome to Paradise" by Green Day sometimes and Billy and me will switch instruments and we'll play Silver Chair songs for fun.

Many people in the chatroom would like to know what would be your dream lineup for a tour with GC?
How about Refused, Foo Fighters, Green Day and GC! Now that would be fun!

What's coming up on the horizon for you, Chris?
We're going into the studio later this month to do the new album. Then we'll do the Warped Tour. I have no idea after that.

Unfortunately we are almost out of time. Do you have any final comments or insights for our audience before we wrap up?
If you are old enough, please remember to vote because it really does matter and thank you very much for listening to our band. It really means a lot. http://www.michaelmoore.com Keep on drumming, my hommies and hommiettes! Thanks for coming, guys.

Thank you Chris! I am so glad you could join us today here at WWB and Pro-Mark's In Session!
Goodnight, Yall! I'll see you at the show.
