Britney got hurt on stage!!!

Sadly, sometime during I Got That Boom Boom, she turned her foot wrong (according to my friends in the 2nd row) and hurt her ankle or knee. She sort of limped around and finished the song. I didn't see it, but at some point, she was on stage in tears. She had her dancers do their intros while she limped off stage. She came back out with her ankle taped up (that's what it looked like from my seat) and they did their bows and left the stage. One of her dancers carried her and after she was backstage, her mic was still on and she said "I'm scared!"


Hi, I sat front row at tonights Britney Spears show and have some shocking news. Britney was in the middle of her 3rd to last song in Moline tonight where she walked to the right side of the stage and her leg gave out and she stumbled a bit. She then did not dance much for the next 2 songs. One of her dancers carried her off the stage. She cut her set short and came out in a white fur robe and told the crowd that she had hurt herself and was not able to perform her encore 'Me Against The Music'. At the begining of her set she stumbled on the stairs as well.

She seemed hurt badly, not sure if any shows will be canceled though. The cameraman did say she hurt herself pretty badly though!

They postponed the chicago show I think it's tonight right? Well yeah I was on worldofbritney.com and ruben said it was postponed and even ticketmaster said the show was. I feel bad for the fans that have been waiting to see britney :( I hope Britney does get better.

I'M SO MAD!! I started getting text messages all day from my other friends that were going to the concert saying that it might get cancelled, and then I call during fourth period and they told me it was going to be rescheduled for April. I just found an article here. (http://www.nbc5.com/entertainment/2935239/detail.html?z=dp&dpswid=2265994&dppid=65193) I've been waiting forever to see her and now I'm really upset. I know it isn't her fault, but I'm really disappointed.

Britney Spears Cancels Show After Injuring Knee

Britney Spears' Chicago-area fans will be a bit bummed out on Friday night.

Spears suffered a knee injury while performing in Moline, Illinois, on Thursday, forcing her to cancel her Friday night (March 19) performance at the Allstate Arena in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont.

The singer injured herself near the end of the show, during a dance routine for one of her new songs, "(I Got That) Boom Boom." The show was a part of Spears' Onyx Hotel Tour, which kicked off on March 2 in support of her latest album, In the Zone (see "Britney Strips, Gyrates, Sweats, Flirts At Tour Kickoff").

A statement from Spears' label, Jive Records, asked fans to hold on to their tickets until further notice. A representative for the Allstate Arena said the venue is negotiating a makeup date for the middle of April.

Four years ago, Spears underwent surgery after twisting her knee during a dance rehearsal (see "Britney Spears Sidelined For A Month Following Knee Injury").

Spears' spokesperson declined to comment on the nature of the injury or on whether more dates might be nixed.

I commend Britney Spears' willingness and courage to finish the concert despite all of that pain on her knee. Her shows have a lot of high energy dancing and choreography in it. I was surprised that it happened during the middle of one of her songs. Some other artists in the past have injured themselves on stage, yet they make an effort to finish up the show. It was also smart for her to explain to the audience her injury at the end. Hope that her knee heals up soon so that she can continue the tour--those promoters put millions of dollars into these shows, productions and massive stage sets. Being a pop star is a lot harder than what most of us ordinary people think, what with all that performing and touring.

It's a shame I can't go when she reschedules it. It's a shame to get a refund off of really awesome seats. If anybody is interested in taking these off my hands please PM me. I'll give you a really good deal on them.

Too bad I flew all the way from San Diego to see her for her to cancel it. I hope for a speedy recovery so can finish what she started.
