On the cover of USA Today's Life/Section E.
Brian will release Gettin' In Over My Head on 22 June through Rhino records. Rhino re-released Brian's first solo album (self titled) a couple of years ago.
Guests on the album will include: Eric Clapton (a song with two people called "God"? :D), Elton John and Paul McCartney!

Actually, I kind of knew this already, but didn't post anything about it because I thought you knew.

I've been too worried worrying about/hopin' for the Smile Tour to come to America that this flew under the radar. I also wonder when he did this album, as he's extended his European tour to England and Holland (:D latter).

oh joy
just kidding, that sounds pretty cool, esp. if Eric Clapton and Paul McCartney are kind enough to grace us with their presence on his CD.

Does that mean you'll give it a try?
Incidentally, I forget which song it was on Flowers in the Dirt, but Macca says one song was performed as a tribute to Brian and the boys. "Motor of Love" sounds like it would be appropriate, but I don't think it was that song.

Why of course :D Actually, I promptly went and told my dad about this and his eyes lit up like a child's. I love it when I hear about music news before he does. haha!
oooh, I love Flowers in the Dirt. Any song from it would be a-ok with me.

I have the quote from Macca back home somewhere, I'll look it up when I get there.
Than might take a while though. Between having to go to work at the school and submitting to this horrid weather. ;)

Well it is "Motor of Love," and here's the question and answer about it from the liner notes of the first CD edition of Pet Sounds:
On Flowers in the Dirt, the song "Motor of Love" seems almost to be written to Brian.
Macca: "Yeah, well, there is that bit in it that is very Beach Boys-influenced; when we were doing it we said, 'Oh, this is working out like the Beach Boys... This is their kind of material'... There's definitely a Beach Boys influence on there... The bit [singing] ' I won't steal anything,' the harmony thing, yeah."
