Now, my fave author is Marian Keyes. she's so funny... and her books kinda follow on from eachother. they're the same family of characters. fully recommend them to anyone who likes "chick-lit"

Series: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams; 2001, Arthur C. Clarke.

Those two guys fall into the favorite authors category, along with Card and Stephen E. Ambrose and Roger Kahn.

Bekah, does the Ender series for you include the Shadow/Bean series?

If you mean the books that are more focused on Bean, like Ender's Shadow, instead of Ender, then yes.

Yes, that's what I meant... And you have read them all?

No, sadly I have not...which I am receiving a lot of guff about from some friends of mine. But I have several of them, and I've stolen all the Memory of Earth books from my dad. He actually believes he'll be getting them back. So I'm going to read my ass off this summer...I just haven't had a lot of time to do so during the semester...:/

I found the first Shadow book to be the best. The others are cool in a politcal pundit kind o' way, but are also beating on the proverbial dead horse. When the first book came out, even Card admitted it was only for the money.

hmm...that's part of why I like his books so much - the political stuff.

Which book did He admit was just for money?

The first one, Ender's Shadow. So it's a safe bet all the books in the series are in the same vein.

Wow, just seeing "Goosebumps" on the screen takes me back...I remember my favorite was "Why I'm Afraid of Bees." How nostalgic!

Right now, Jane Green is it for me. Babyville, Mr. Maybe, Jemima J...she's quick and witty.
