According to today's New York Daily News, Diego Maradona is in intesive care with heart and blood pressure problems. A statement says Maradona was suffering from "hypertension and an inflamed heart muscle."

Maradona is 43. I'm sure his reputation for drugs is well-known.

Yes it is but apprently it has been denied that this is a resukt of a cocaine overdose.

Yes, he is rather large isn't he? I can't say I'm a fan but hope he gets well soon. He is a lot of people's hero.

i read in today's newspaper that cocaine was playing a role! don't know....

yeap, i guess in argentina he's their hero!

Of course it is! Even if he hesn't done it of late (which, although I think he probably has, is still a possibility), the drug still helped put him in his current state.

Just because someone releases a statement doesn't make something true... Look at all the U.S. statements about WMDs in Iraq. :o
