does anyone know when the Sims 2 is coming out?? Also does anyone know if you need the original sims to play it??

No official date has been announced. According to Maxis, the second half of 2004...so anytime between July and December, i'm guessing. :)

my offline friend Katie is really obsessed with the Sims, and VERY obsessed with the Sims 2. She says it's coming out September something... I forget... I think September 16 or 17. I can't remember. :( Sorry

I never really got to grips with "The Sims" but "Sims 2" looks alot more interesting. The promotion on the T.V channel "Trouble" was how I first became aware of it.. The graphics look alot more advanced than the previous one.

it came out in September. I'm addicted to the sims and i can't wait to get Sims 2!!!
