I have many. I'm a huge Resident Evil Fan.
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (I'm glad you can go back a watch the cut scenes at the end. Those are so off the hook.)
Huge Zelda fan( But regrets still haven't finish the Wind Waker and I bought it the day it came out)
All-time Favorite has to be Splinter Cell. It's a shame I have to wait until July to get the sequel but from what I hear it's worth the wait.

You take that back. It did not look good. What an inferior word. It looked amazing, gorgeous, stupendous, marvelous, fantastic, divine. Those words.
ha, I remember Starfox for SNES. I liked to let that stupid bird just die and ignore his rude remarks. And that sniveling frog. How I hated him as well.
My brother is obsessed with Metroid. I do not see the appeal with that game. :susp2:

First there was King's Quest, a cross between an action game and a text adventure. It was set in the time of castles and knights. It was action-like in that their was a big window on top where you used a joystick to manuver your character around the scene, avoiding obsticles and enemies. It was text in that text windows would pop up to describe things (usually in a humorous fashion) and there were some actions you had to type in, such as "pick up slime."
The format and the game were both popular. It spawned sequel King's Quest before turning to the future with Space Quest, which was the series I liked best. You played Roger Wilco, space-age janitor who becomes the last-best hope to save the galaxy. That too had something like five titles.
After that Sierra (the games' parent company) release a game for the (then) present: Police Quest. This was eh. I played the first one, and I learned some stuff about what cops legally can and can't do, but it lacked the humor of the other games... Still there were three PQ titles or so.
Then came Larry... The adult quest game. The game started off by asking questions which children supposedly couldn't answer... Suppoedly. Things like "who had a hit with the song Blah Blah in the 1960's?" Once you answered the three questions, you were in the world of Larry. You played a lounge lizard and I think the objective was to have sex with three women. If you thought the others were funny, then this was a riot. Watching Larry get it on was more like watching dogs go at it in the park, and was half as quick.
Ahh, the 80's.
And that's your video game history lesson for this morning.

I played something like "King's Quest," a loooong time ago. But it was called Camelot. You'd type north or west or whatever way you wanted to go and different screens would pop up showing the scenery or the people in that area. You played as Lancelot and you were supposed to solve puzzles in every screen, rescue knights, and of course find the holy grail.
I just remember this one part where you came upon this big tent and in it was a lady trying to seduce you. You'd type in whatever and she'd keep begging you to come to bed or kiss her or take off her clothes, etc. I was probably like 10 years old and I remember getting all nervous if my mom came in the room. lol, like I'd get in trouble if she saw the screen. Anyways if you typed "yes," or "get in bed," she of course turns into a monster and kills you. If you typed "no," the people would start calling you "Lancelot the chaste."
Yeah. I know you're thinking what an exciting game  but it was the sh** back then. You posers.

LMAO @ Dave :)
I remember playing Transylvania, before King's Quest even! Leisure Suit Larry is coming out with a new one called Magna Cum Laude, on the XBOX and I believe the PC as well. It's the latest "addition" to the series. A lot of people who remember the originals are really excited about it. Those who don't are just excited because they like the idea, not because they actually understand the idea ;)
My favorites is probably a list way too long, so I will try to narrow it down to a few
Shining Force III
Final Fantasy VII
Any Metroid game - yes any, and can't wait for Metroid Prime 2!
Splinter Cell
Dr. Mario
Any and all Castlevania's except the N64 versions
Amplitude
Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance
Gauntlet
Phantasy Star
Legend of Legaia
Suikoden I, II and III
Xenogears
Resident Evil 1 and 2
Lunar
Lunar 2
Arc the Lad Collection Rocked!
Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Advanced
Legacy of Kain series
and the list goes on...

I meant an understanding in the manner that you haven't actually played the previous games, so you couldn't have a true feeling for what the game is about. Not that you aren't smart enough to figure out the gist, just that you can't understand until you have played :)

Ever played Chrono Trigger? I think that's the one I'm thinking of. Anyway, it's a lot like Final Fantasy and it's hilarious. You actually get to sing in an opera at one point. It's so kick ass.

No you're thinking final fantasy. I remember cause I have that whole song memorized. lol, isn't that sad. I have that game, it's number 6 and one of my favorites.
And I just bought Chrono Trigger about a month ago. That game kicks some serious ass. It's the remastered version that was for ps1 and came with a final fantasy game. "Final Fantasy Chronicles."

cool dream. if i was mario, i would like nothing more than to kick bowser's fat ass, but then who would Mario fight? Wario? Ya right. Wario body slams him, BOOM. Mario gone. But still, Mario has other enemies besides Bowser. Like:
SMITHY: Super Mario: Legend Of TheSeven Stars
WART: Super Mario Land 2
CACKLETTA: Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
GRODUS: Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
WARIO: Super Mario Land: 6 Golden Coins
WALUIGI: Mario Tennis
As you can plainly see, everyone wants a piece of mario. oh ya, i just remembered: come to me when you want to know where star pieces are in paper mario, i'll give you the guide. or if you want little fun facts, like how to find luigi's diary. THAT i never would have found out if i didn't try. here's a clue: the floorboards in mario's house are loose. there's your hint. no more clues right now............well, maybe one more: check out the floorboards: are they ALL facing the same direction? that should be enough clues.........................
