I am completely suprised by Britney's jump up the Hot 100 chart. I scrolled down to the bottom of the page and went up from 50 expecting "Everytime" to be in the 40's. When I got to around #35 I was so upset thinking how could it not have landed in the top 50. Then to my dismay, I saw it jumped 25 spots to #26. FANTASTIC!!!
On CHR/Pop radio Miss Spears is waiting outside the top 10 to be let in. Don't worry she will be greeted and welcomed in with better results than "MATM". We have 2 adds on CHR/Rhythmic with a total of 3 stations playing "Everytime" and now a total of 9 stations on Hot AC. With the entrance of "Everytime" into the top 10 on Pop, expect other formats to rise past their stubborness and add the song to their playlist. People will finally realize that she isn't fading, will not leave, and is as good as ever.
Britney will be back in the US in about 2 weeks so hopefully some media buzz and promotion will help both the single and album to continue in there success on the charts.
Speaking of ITZ, it sold 30K and is at #40 for its' 27th week on the Billboard 200. It's not #1 like 'Confessions', but Britney isn't black and supported by tons of different radio formats which insist with the overplaying of it.
