Jessica Simpson might get picked to play Daisy Duke in the upcoming movie version of "The Dukes Of Hazzard" over Britney Spears just because she is hot right now — and I do mean just right now (see "Jessica Simpson Crossing Her Fingers For Some Good Ol' Boys"). When this movie comes out next year, the producers will realize that they have made a big mistake in choosing Jessica.
I've got nothing against Jessica Simpson, but Britney would be a much better choice to play Daisy Duke. I'll be honest: when I saw "Crossroads," I knew it wasn't going to win any Academy Awards or anything, but you can see that Britney's acting is OK. She isn't great, but she isn't bad either. And it was only her first movie. If you have seen her appearances on "Saturday Night Live," you will see that she certainly can act. This movie would give her a chance to prove that even further.

I would rather see Jessica Simpson on the big screen. I would not go see Britney Spears at the movies; I would just wait until "The Dukes of Hazzard" premiered on cable. Most people would rather see Britney in Playboy than in another film. We still love you, though!
