I got tired of writing about the Yankees under the Red Sox thread:tongue:
Looking forward to tonights game....Sundays loss was expected, all things in consideration.....Dave, I take it that is the game you were at?

The Red sox thread is the best thread on this board, so you might as well continue talking about how the yankees will almost make it but fail over there.

thanks, but I'll pass on that one....Sox fans will have their own losses to contend with there..........

Nope, he was still in California. It was so fun to watch the game last night. Sometimes when I close my eyes and listen to the crowd, for a split second I feel like I'm there.

I got to see a couple of innings of the Sunday night game while eating at the airport... In fact, if the restaurant didn't have a TV outside, showing the game, I would have passed right by. ;)

Dave, because I am in "Red Sox territory", I can watch all of these games:) I pretty much knew once Nomar made that error and Sheffield came to the plate that the runs would increase;)
Wish I were there in the park for this series...but alas, not til August and the BlueJays:tongue:

I really hope you were there for the game tonight, Dave. It's just wonderful to see things crumble again like that.

I love the large leads, but the comeback like game 2 is so much more exciting and so much more typical of the Yankees:-D
Tonight will be interesting.......

A neighborhood kid who walks Thurm and Yod went last night. We were talking before hand about who Pedro would hit. Shef was one of the names that came up.

Pedro and Manny could fall off the face of the planet and I wouldn't be too sad about it.

well, Jeter's catch saved runs, and pretty much put the game in the bag...I didn't think the Yanks would let their captain down after a play like that;)
Yeah, Dave, like Sheffield's name wasn't at the top of the list
And what was up with the musical positions and glove swapping??? I have never seen such a thing.....Dave were you at last night's game?

No, not at any of these games. I have to dogsit my folk's dog, and having 2 dogs to care for plus a regular job plus just getting readjusted after my own vacation, well, leaves me with little time.
Glove-swapping et. al? Red Sox fans should be concerned about the fact that Nomar naver made it into the game.

Yeah, as a dog owner I know where you are coming from...my own dog has had a major health issue lately which is heart breaking and I am not sure yet that she will be able to overcome it:( She is my best friend......

^ Sorry to hear about that. :( I really believe that pets are just as much apart of the family as any family member.

Thanks Kat! She really is part of the family, but it doesn't look good at all....so far none of the treatments have helped:(

Thanks Dave.... watching her suffer would be much crueler for me to do....she has no real quality of life anymore (which breaks my heart because she is just 2yrs old) and taking my walks without her is really depressing:( I hope that you will never experience anything but joy and great companionship with your dog!

Yes, it was a real shock to me upon taking her to the vet....she was always so playful and full of life...then one day I noticed she didn't have that sparkle in her eyes:( I took her out for a walk, like I do everyday, and noticed she wasn't herself then, either:-( The next morning, above her eye was swollen the size of a golfball and it looked as if she had some sort of reaction to an insect bite....I called the vet, who said that was more than likely the case, and he suggested benadryl for the swelling, which didn't work, the next day her eye was worse and bloodshot, and she was bleeding out her tearducts and nostrils:( I raced her to the vet, only to find she was bleeding internally and needed plasma to have a chance to survive....she responded to that, and was able to come home with treatment....it is an immune problem, her blood does not clot properly, and her platlets are low...so far she has been given 3 different types of medications, none of which seem to be working to correct it....she has to be confined, so as not to injure herself (even by bumping into things can cause the bleeding again) I know she still does not feel well, but seeing her confined and not able to take her for walks and see her play like we used to is heartbreaking:( ........
