Antarctica is the continent at the very bottom of the earth. Only a few people live there, and none of them are permanent residents. They're mostly scientists, and it gets pretty damned cold there.

Penguins eat fish that they catch in the waters off the shore.

And actually, there are species of penguins that live in warm climates, too.

Snakes freak me out a little, yes. There was one near our screened-porch the other day - it was a greenish blue color. I had never seen one like that before. It grossed me out. Anything that can move without legs and smells with it's tongue just isn't right.

But I also don't like things that require multiple, like more than 4, legs to manuever around either. Such as spiders.
