Even though Tim Henman failed this year, there is still hope for an English male to capture a singles title at Wimbledon. Unseeded Miles Kasiri of Great Britain made his way through the boy's singles tournament draw to reach the Wimbledon Final. Kasiri scored a string of upsets this past week including winning a 19-17 tiebreak against Rafael Arevalo Gonzalez in the first round, defeating 3rd seeded Josselin Ouanna in the third round, and stopping 11th seeded Scoville Jenkins in the semifinals. He will play the number 1 seed Gael Monfils next. Monfils won the French Open and Australian Open boy's singles title this year.

OMG Gael Monifls is too good. He won the boy's singles title this year at the Australian Open, French Open, and now he's in the final of Wimbledon. Um someone is gonna go far in the rankings..............

Yes, well it would seem so but sometimes the ones who promise so much in the juniors fail to make the step up to the professional circuit. It seems unlikely in his case though. He's on for the junior Slam! Shame for Kasiri though. Hopefully he will be the UK's next hope because there doesn't seem to be an awful lot else out there for us Brits. Some people slate Tim in the UK for not winning Wimbledon but I am pretty sure that after he's retired everyone will say "Oh wasn't Tim great, how we wish he was still playing."

So do I. He's the best player we have had in a very long time! He may never win a grand slam, but that doesn't mean he isn't any good. At the beginning of the 1990s I bet the British public would have bitten your hand off if you offered tem a person to get to the semi-finals of grand slam tournaments. Sometimes people don't know what they have until it's gone.

^^ the same can be said with Kim Clijsters and Anna Kournikova, i mean i know Kim has not won a grand slam sinlges and Anna hasn't won a singles, but puhlease Anna's achievements outrank a billion people when you stop and think about it. And Kim reached #1, that's good. There's no need to compare yourself to others, the player should care about his/her goals instead of trying to match other people's goals
