When did they vote on the rankings?

It feels like forever that I've been saying that I thought France was overrated; that being the home team has been their true virtue of recent years. They failed miserably in Euro '04 (granted, losing to the eventual winner), yet they are still ranked number 2? Meanwhile the actual winner, Greece, moves up 21 places? Sounds too screwy, that one team can move so much on good merits while another remains unchanged after losing in a major competition.

Meanwhile, The U.S. has reached its top spot ever, at number 7. :D

Well, as far as I know Scotland are a few places ahead of Wales and I know in the past Scotland have qualified for far more major tournaments than Wales but I think Wales have had much better results than they have far the past few years and Wales whooped them 4-0 a few months ago. Oh well.

They won Euro 2000 in Holland/Belgium. The World Cup in 98 was in France.

As far as i'm aware, the FIFA world rankings are compiled by the results of both friendly and competitive matches. France had a very good record coming into Euro 2004, which has kept them in 2nd spot.

Yep, Brazil are 1st. They also just beat Costa Rica 4-1 in the Copa America.

^ eahis I love Brazil! I saw that game and it was awsome to see the next generation of Brazilian players playing so well. Im also partial to them because I am Brazilian.

Right now Brazil sucks lol they need to play better imo.

Dave who is on #3 & #4 ? maybe those teams arent doing so good right now and thats why France is still at #2.
