Willa is no longer with Lava?!

OK I and a few other fans sent out e-mails to a few people at LavaRecords, including Kevin Weaver (Senior V.P. Strategic Marketing and Soundtracks
Lava Records)kevin.weaver@lavarecords.com (kevin.weaver@lavarecords.com)asking about what is happening with Willa and such... and Mr. Weaver did respond - all he had to say was "Willa Ford is no longer on our artist roster."

That's all he had to say... :mad: WTF?!

That totally sucks! I mean come on. Don't they realize that she has a ton of fans out here waiting for her album. Now there will be no album, and I hope she gets signed to another label.

well I know that's true, but still it's so disappointing... We've all been waiting for her album for so long, and now... :o nada! :greyno: When will those record companies realize that without promotion they shouldn't be surprised if a single does hardly ever do as well as they want it to?!

I hope she gets signed with another label soon - I can't believe it, I was SO looking forward to her album!

I just got another e-mail from som e guy at Lava ... here's what he wrote:

^^^ if you go to the Lava site she is still listed... then again that could just mean they don't keep their site up to date. I checked out WillaFord.org and didn't see Suz say anything about it. Or has she talked about it on her message board?

well I mean they NEVER updated their site... Suz hasn't been on the boards for quite a while, unfortunately I haven't had the chance to talk to her for a while, I don't know what she's been up to... but we basically got confirmation from a few persons working at LAVA. :(

Willa is marketable, we can't help that the record company doesn't see all her supporters. If they did she would still be having a record coming out.

lava and atlantic are 2 seperate entities now and she went to lava

^^^ choreograph? what did she choreograph? I know she showed the dancers for her Guavaween show the dance for ATTM but I thought that was just the dance that she herself had been taught by someone else.

also even comes up with most of the beats in her music

^^^ I'm sure there is a lot I don't know about her. I did know she came up with the beats to her music but as far as choreography I thought Kristin Denehy(sp) was her choreographer and then some guy whose name I can't recall did the Guavaween show.

yeah she does have help ofcourse from producers, choreographers etc. but most of the ideas she comes up with herself
she is far more talented than people know or give her credit for

its a shame that total tool belt "artists" have more success than REAL talent...
