What are your thoughts and beliefs on this?
Some people believe Heaven is a completely different and new place, while others believe that Heaven will be on earth.

I guess I really don't have any specific thoughts or beliefs on where heaven is. What's important to me is that it's where my God is and it's a place with no more sorrow or crying. I personally couldn't care less what it looks like either because I'm hoping to spend all my time sitting at the foot of the throne. :)

In heaven, everyone swears.
A lot.
It's groovy.
But I digress.
From what I've gathered, Biblically speaking, heaven is technically on earth at first. There's the whole tribulation thing and then Satan and his minion are locked up for 1000 years. Yay, Christians rule with Jesus for 1000 years on earth - no Satanic influence. All those born into this time period get to experience what life would be like without evil to influence them. Then Satan gets re-released, a huge epic battle. People born within those 1000 years get to choose. Eventually Satan loses and he and his friend Martha Stew...I mean the antichrist get thrown into the Lake of Fire, and then heaven truly begins.
But I don't think it's clear where this heaven actually is geographically.
As it is, I believe we can all experience a taste of heaven on earth whenever we listen to the Beatles.

I honestly don't know what I believe on that subject, Chad. It's a good question and I'll be watching for answers. ;) I recently just asked a couple of people if they would be interested in doing a Bible study to explore the different "end times" theories and the different theories regarding Heaven b/c that's an area that I feel really deficient in . . . . I just don't feel I know enough to be conversant regarding all the different methods of interpretation that are out there regarding "end times" or the various interpretations regarding what Heaven's like. I do agree with Liz, though, I don't really care too much about the specifics as long as I'm with my God. :)

I've always believed that Heaven was less of a physical place than earth, more like among the stars and just being without any true physical form. I've also believed that the earth would be destroyed. But now, Im beginning to wonder.
Here are lyrics to a song I very much like. Its rather new.
Borrowed Heaven - The Corrs
All beauty all fade away, borrowed
All moonlight return today, borrowed
All sunrise all shooting stars, borrowed
All earth bound bare feet in clay
you know we’re standing on
Borrowed heaven
All heartache all rivers cried, borrowed
Don’t stay out too late tonight, borrowed
I love you don’t wanna die, borrowed
You taste like paradise, I know I’m breathing in
Borrowed heaven
You gave me life and I will give it back
But before I do, I’m gonna hold it tight
This is my prayer
All body, all skin all bone, borrowed
All silky, all smooth and warm, borrowed
All pleasure, all pain are one, borrowed
Almighty I stand alone
I know I’m living in
Borrowed heaven
To the End
Was earth not Gods paradise, before sin entered the world? I knew people who told me that the only Hell is living on this earth. I gave that a lot of thought and agreed to an extent, however, I later found that living on this earth can almost be Heaven, and afterall, I almost live in Heaven, WV. I now believe that it is a very likely possibility that God will take His Heaven (earth) back in the end. Perhaps some of us will not have far to go to Heaven, afterall, its right in front of us. I've always hoped that my Heaven will be similar to my favorite places on earth and I've even had a dream once about visiting my deceased grandma, she was in Heaven, but it looked very much like earth.
And I agree with everyone else, I dont really mind one way or the other, just as long as Im there, but its always nice to talk about things like this.

I have absolutely no clue...all I know is that heaven will be the most wonderful place, and I pray to God that I make it there.
