...a genius. I can't believe some of the shots he even has the audacity to think of, let alone actually try and play! Unfortunately for me(and a lot of Andy fans)it was against Roddick. Roddick played well again today in the final of Toronto Masters, like he did at Wimbledon, but still come off second best. Federer hadn't played well all week and Andy was playing quite well. However, I think Andy made Federer played well. For instance if Federer had played today like he did against Johansson he probably would have lost. Federer was able to up it a few gears today. Roddick was only broken once in each set and in the second set where he had his serve broken the commentator said it was the best game of tennis he'd ever witnessed! Against anyone else Andy would have won the game, he hit some pretty good shots. But Federer hit some shots I'm pretty sure only he could ever hit and broke him! Andy fought all the way and had a bit of a sore hip which he received treatment for. When they shook hands at the net, it wasn't clear, but I'm pretty sure Andy said to Roger "What the(add expletive here)do I have to do to beat you?" hehe. I can't be sure that's what he said but it sounded like it. It was said in a jocular manner, not malicious. But he does have a serious point? What can he do to beat him? Perhaps he could serve and volley more but Federer is the best player in the world who can do just about anything. I hope Andy's confidence isn't dented too much because there's no shame in losing to the best player in the world, especially taking into consideration the form Rog is in right now. I think he's won about 22 or 24 matches on the trot and has won the last 10 finals he's been in! Andy fought and you couldn't fault his effort. If Roddick's tennis career doesn't work out maybe he could become a comedian. In the presentation Roddick said to Federer "You're becoming really, really annoying." lol. Again, this was said in a jocular way but he has a point. Andy must feel frustrated right now. It's not like he's doing anything wrong that he could improve on, it's just sometimes you have to hold your hands up and say "too good." For me, and a lot of Andy fans, I bet Federer is becoming annoying too hehe. I don't want to be mean here, Federer is an amazing player it just gets a bit annoying at the time when you're supporting his opponent. It has to be said though that some of Federer's shots are just outrageous! If it was against pretty much anyone else I would have really appreciated Federer's shots today but it was against Andy so right now I'm disappointed but also safe in the knowledge that there isn't anyone who can beat Federer when he plays like he did today! Andy's a great player, just not quite so great as Federer. No-one is at the moment.

OMG, Muffin, read this article on today's match. Andy said something really really funny. I laughed so hard. READ!

TORONTO (AP) -- Roger Federer won his third straight title Sunday, beating Andy Roddick 7-5, 6-3 in the final of the $2.5 million Tennis Masters Canada.

The top-ranked Federer, who won his eighth event of the year, extended his winning streak to 23 matches and raised his career record against the No. 2-ranked Roddick to 7-1.

"Andy, I'm sorry you didn't win another final,'' said Federer. "But in the future I'm sure we'll play many, many more great matches and you'll get your fair share of them.''

Roddick defeated Federer in the semifinals of this event last year and went on to win the tournament. Since then, Roddick is 0-3 against Federer, including a four-set loss in the Wimbledon final.

"I'd like to congratulate Roger,'' Roddick said. "You're certainly becoming very annoying.''

Federer was the more solid of the two before a sun-drenched sellout crowd of 12,000 spectators at Rexall Centre. Roddick often went to the net, attempting to dictate the match, but was often thwarted by solid returns or passing shots.

"I thought I played the big points pretty well,'' Roddick said. "He just made great shots.''

LOL. I was so surprised Hrbaty stopped his 23 winning streak. Sampras' 24 match unbeaten streak stands as the longest since Muster's 30 odd streak in 1995. I heard Vilas in 1979 had a winning streak of 52 matches! That's almost a whole year I think! Apparently Hrbaty and Federer used to play doubles together so instead of seeing the number 1 player at the other end of the court Hrbaty sees an old mate! Seles3, I wouldn't worry about Roddick winning the tournament. He needs to get past Mirnyi first which could be tough. I feel Andy needs a quickish match because he'll be tired from last week. I also wonder how his confidence is doing so early after losing again to Federer!
