Has anyone had the Cinnamon Toast Crunch with 75% less sugar??

I was eating some, and I didn't know there was 75% less sugar, I thought "This seriously tastes like ass..." So I looked at the expiration date, which was months away.

So I kept eating, until I almost gagged. Looked at the box again, and noticed there was 75% Less Sugar!!!

Don't try it -- I warn you.

I've seen that and thought I'd pass. Glad to know I made the right decision. LOL

What the heck is the point of kid's cereal with 75% less sugar?!

I have no idea. So they aren't as hyper??

My mom bought two boxes of it, too.

It just sounded wrong to me. As far as I'm concerned, the joys of children's cereal is the sugar!

2 boxes? You have my sympathies.

Couldn't you just add your own sugar to the bowl? Isn't that what people do with plain cornflakes and Kix?

Not sure what that would taste like either- they took out a bunch of the sugar and added Splenda instead.

Exactly!!! and that's why I added sugar, when I erroneously bought some :p

What did it taste like? Splenda and sugar just doesn't sound like a good combo to me.

It tasted alright, but had a funny aftertaste.

Taking sugar out of Cinnamon Toast Crunch was just plain wrong :blueeek:

What other cereals did they alter? I think Cocoa Puffs, but I can't remember the others. My son would NOT be amused if I bought this stuff home.

They also altered Trix and Cocoa Puffs. You can read more here:

Ewww speaking of Kix...I bought a box of that one time because you know how the commercial makes it look like it's just the best thing in the world to eat Kix (great advertising ;)) But that cereal tastes like...like..NOTHING..it has no taste. It was awful

If it taste like crap I don't think kids are going to eat it. So they'll have to go back to the regular kind. I don't eat usually eat cereal but they stop making the regular kind too??

Wait, back up. You add sugar to Kix? It's already sweet.

Gross.

Nope, they weren't totally stupid- you can still get the good kind.
