Well I do think you can get a small avatar (picture before your name) even with the few posts you have now, just go to your user CP to the top left and check for avatar.

Go to your user CP and click on 'edit avatar'. Though I'm not exactly sure what kind of pic you can get now. But you can choose from more pics as your posts increase. Though, like I said, you cant get a custom avatar till you get to 500 posts.
