Britney will appear at the Video Music Awards!! (Comfirmed!)

It is comfirmed that Britney Spears will appear at the 2004 Video Music Awards with one guest (most likely Kevin) This is very good news. I know everybody is hoping that Britney will surprise everyone with a performance, I'm just glad she will be there. I think it would look much worse if Britney won for the first time a VMA and not showing up at all, than if Britney lost and was there. I hope Britney does perform, but it is highly unlikely due to the fact that Britney had trouble dancing in the "My Prerogative" video due to her knee, and Lynne even said that the choreography was minimal. I'm so glad she's going to be there, though. I really think Britney is going to win this year. She has so much support for the video. I think "Toxic" was probably the most popular Britney song ever, arguably ahead of her No. 1 single "...Baby One More Time". I think VMA voters have waited for Britney to raise the bar on her videos before awarding her with a Video Music Award. Britney has the best chance of winning in the Best Pop Video category, she is almost a shoe-in. Britney also has a very good chance of winning in the Best Female Video category, after all, she is the only female in the running for Video of The Year. The Best Dance Video & Video of The Year awards are both going to be difficult for Britney to win. In the Best Dance Video category, she has fierce competition with Beyonce & Usher, and plus, "Toxic" isn't much of a dance video. In the Video of the Year category, I think the award for her was the nomination. While "Toxic" was a really big song this year, Usher's "Yeah" & Outkast's "He Ya" beat "Toxic" out by both reaching No. 1 on the Hot 100, both of the songs were extremely big songs. D12 could win the award purely on the fact that Eminem is the lead singer in the band (he has already won two Video of The Year awards) and Jay-Z also has a big chance because it leads in total nominations (6). Keep your fingers crossed for Britney, Best Female & Best Pop Video are in the bag for her! I'm so excited for Britney that she is attending the award show!

Even though many of you are uncertain of Britney showing up at the Video Music Awards, I really have a feeling she will be there. First, Entertainment Tonight mentioned she had two seats reserved, and also Access Hollywood was talking to one of the producers of the award show, and when asked about Britney, he hinted that there might be an alter on stage this Sunday. I'm so excited. I was able to get tickets to the show and I can't wait. I'm flying to Miami Sunday morning. I hope Britney will be there. Everyone keep your fingers crossed!
