LAS VEGAS (AP) _ The Beatles and Cirque du Soleil are getting together to produce a show that'll replace the legendary Siegfried and Roy act in Las Vegas.
The managing director of the band's Apple Corps says it is the first major theatrical partnership for The Beatles.
Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will help shape the production but will not appear in it.
Yoko Ono the widow of John Lennon and Olivia Harrison, George Harrison's widow, also will collaborate.
The president of The Mirage hotel-casino says the still untitled show is expected to cost more than 100 million dollars. He says it should be ready in about 20 months.
The songs to be used in the show are undecided, but Cirque du Soleil will have complete access to The Beatles' musical archive.
