Not sure if this is THE letter Of Truth or not, but this is a new posting.

Dear Fans,

I am going to start writing this column now as often as possible. The reason being is so I can talk directly to you, my fans, who have stuck by me & who continue to support me. Also, I'm not going to be as busy as my Mom. She's running behind my sister like crazy! I am also going to take some time off to enjoy life. I've actually learned to say "NO!" With this newly found freedom, its like people don't know how to act around me. Should we talk to her like we did when she was 16 or like the Icon everyone says she is? My prerogative right now is to just chill & let all of the other overexposed blondes on the cover of Us Weekly be your entertainment... GOOD LUCK GIRLS!! I'm sorry that my life seemed like it was all over the place the past 2 years, it's probably because IT WAS! I understand now what they mean when they talk about child stars. Going & going & going is all I've ever know since I was 15 years old. It's amazing what advisors will push you to do, even if it means taking a naive young blonde girl & putting her on the cover of every magazine.

I know now that my knee gave out on me this past summer so that I would have no choice but to stop. My body was shutting down and needed rest. Its funny how the Man upstairs works. Right now, I have to go-- I really want to watch "Saved" with Mandy Moore and re-runs of Sex and the City. I want to enjoy all of the simple things that I missed over the past few years due to working way too much.

Being married is GREAT and I can't wait to start my family! There is so much change going on right now... not only with me, but in the world, as well. So, the next time you see my face, hear one of my songs or even if I'm the topic of your next conversation, please remember that times are changing & so am I.

The difference between Britney and other oversexposed blondes, we'll say Paris Hilton, is that britney doesn't ask for it. Yes, she wears t-shirts with girls masturbating on it and she throws milkshakes at the paparazzi, and it attracts them even more, but she does have a life outside of the cameras. People like Paris don't. Their life IS the media.

I usually don't post here but I find her letter funny and hypocritical and wanted to write a comment on the Christina forum but the topic was locked.
Britney's life is the media too. Her entire life has been one big PR stunt. She consistently says one thing and does another like her famous marriage is sacred statement. If anyone is overexposed it's her.

I don't think there's going to be one big letter..I think she's just going to write a letter every so often and explain some stuff. I don't think the recent one was the "Letter of truth". We already knew about all the stuff she wrote in this recent one.

I distictively remember reading an article where Britney explains that she feels like she is in college due to this "Letter of Truth" she is writing and how desperatly she hopes and prays that we can "handle the truth" that she is about to bestow upon us. She also went on to say that the letter had to be edited and re-edited before she could release it....and that she went over it with Kevin a few times to get his views about it.

So either:
a) she's saving it for later
b) her mom and brother talked some sense into her about it
c) her mom and brother stopped her from making an ass out of herself
d) her mom and brother forced her to change her mind, just like they did with the first marriage.
e) she's chickening out

I feel that britney taking a break right now is a very good thing for her and hopefully her fans.
Britney has been in the music buisness since 1998 she has not really had a break since she came out she deserves to have a break, anyone who has a problem with that needs to really just sit back and think what life would be like if you were doing 1 million things everyday seriously she is just human!
I am very happy that britney is taking control of her life and her own music decisions. She is finally satisfied with her self right now and i can't help but be happy for her.
Britney Spears even if she doesn't do another album again is one of the best selling female artist of all time; not to add one of the most talented of all time.
This is also going to be my last time posting on this board, and following up on Britney. Britney is taking a break and there really isn't a ton of things to be following up on her about. I'm still a britney fan but like she said everything is changing.
There are other artist out there who i am becoming more interested in. I imagine many of you also feel the same.
But we are getting older (Britney fans) and there are millions of other things going on in our lives! So Britney good luck with your life and career! Can't wait for your greatest hits C.D.

It was really awesome meeting everyone else on this board who are true britney fans. Eddie, Rachel, pixie star, zone-stripped, richboy, gameboy, ghetto cowboy,lonely3, sophia and i am sorry for those i can't think of right now. But yeah everybody good luck in life and keep your love for the music!
