The legendary Led Zeppelin song "Stairway to Heaven" has been named the Best Pop Song of All Time in a recent British Virgin Radio poll. The tune, which over the years has been both praised and reviled, has proven its staying power -- at least among UK rock fans. It leads the pack of a 1970s-and-'80s-heavy song list. Surprisingly, no Beatles tune is in the top ten -- "Let It Be" is the Fab Four's first entry, falling in at number eleven. But John Lennon's solo hit "Imagine" captures the number six spot, followed by Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." The Eagles' "Hotel California" ranks at number nine. Van Morrison, David Bowie, and Pink Floyd all made the top 20. Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl" is at number 12, while Bowie's "Space Oddity" is the number 14 song. Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" rounds out the survey.
