GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) _ Talk about giving new meaning to the term end zone. People are buzzing about Randy Moss' post touchdown celebration during yesterday's playoff game in Green Bay. After Moss scored his first of two t-d's, he pretended to pull down his pants and moon Packers fans. Asked about his antics after the game, he said he was "just having a little fun with the boys.'' No word on whether his "little fun'' will get him in trouble with the NFL or whether the FCC will want to take a closer look at the incident. Last week, Moss was criticized after leaving the field early during the regular-season final against Washington. In the playoffs, the Vikings beat the Packers 31-17.

Wondering why there was no unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on that.......

I would guess it wasn't totall visible to the refs what he was doing.

Here where I work, there seems to be some anger, but not much about the episode. People here think Joe Buck was way overblown (he tends to be very high on himself). As opposed to the radio broadcast which made no mention of the incident.

One of the producers here noted something which I haven't heard anywhere else... That Moss apparently pretended to wipe his butt across the Packers logo on the goalpost.

Oh, well, let him have his fun........I don't expect he'll be in much of a mood to celebrate in this or any other way next week.

Brave words... We shall see.

I tend to agree though.

yeah watching the local news here (in minnesota) he was saying something like "at least people are talking...as long as they are talking about the win too, thats all that matters". I myself didn't see it (the only part of the game i wasnt paying attention to) so I don't understand what the big deal was?

the big deal was that it was just inappropriate. Randy Moss is such a sore loser and a ponpus jerk that he always has to put the attention on himself. he needs a big kick in the face to check him back into reality.

On the other hand, can't it be said that the media has gotten way too cautious where the NFL is concerned? I don't see where the Janet Jackson issue was anything big. It's not like you could see anything and even when the media did overkill it by slowing it down and repeating it 2,000,000,000 times, I didn't see anything which I would call risque (that pasty or nipple ring covered the "exposed" breast IMHO).

Or Claire, let me ask you this: How did you feel about the T.O./Nicolette Sheridan thing? As an Eagles fan were you appalled? Did you even care? I didn't see anything wrong.

I thought it was somewhat blown out of proportion, given that they were simply plugging another NFL program.

Then I was reminded that it aired at 6:00 on the West Coast, and had second thoughts. It was not really appropriate for a time that very young children would likely be watching.

Then I realized that there are probably ALWAYS young children watching the beginning of MNF on both coasts........

In other words, I haven't really made up my mind, which means I wasn't truly offended by it.

It WAS pretty funny, though!

I don't really see what the big deal is about Moss and his actions, the man was jsut playing around and from wht I hear that the Packer fans do the exact same thing to the visiting teams when they are leaving on the bus, the only difference is they pull their pants down at least Moss didn't do that.

^ That is EXACTLY why he did it.
Packer fans have done this for years!

Obviously Moss had been treated to the tradition once or twice
and returned the favor.

The difference is that the Cheeseheads don't do it on national television.

And it still won't top T.O. dancing on the star in Texas Stadium for beautiful obnoxiousness!

T.O. dancing on the Star was funny, what was even funnier was the second time he did it he got plowed over.

Yet the Cheeseheads apparently also don't mimick dropping their pants. I haven't heard of the GB police arresting fans for public nudity.

Ooh, witty comeback! [/sarcasm]

The NFL is overly sensitive after the wardrobe malfunction. They shouldn't be, but in today's "moral values" climate, they are.

i can hardly wait to see what Moss has to do this weekend so that we will finally have something else to talk about, because this is getting way out of control it is over with so doesn't the media have something elses to talk about?

Eden Prairie. Minn. (AP)

Fox Sports turned down Vikings owner Red McCombs' request to remove play-by-play announcer Joe Buck from Sunday's game at Philadelphia over his criticism of Randy Moss.

After Moss caught a touchdown pass in last weekend's win at Green Bay, the wide receiver celebrated by pretending to pull down his pants and moon Packers fans. Buck immediately called it a "disgusting act."

McCombs said that statement was out of line. A two-sentence news release issued by the team said McCombs felt Buck's comments "suggested a prejudice that surpassed objective reporting."

Dan Bell, a Fox spokesman, said Wednesday the network has "no intention whatsoever" of removing Buck.

McCombs, whose office is in San Antonio, was not immediately available for further comment.

Buck, during an interview on Sporting News Radio earlier this week, stood by his criticism.

"I have nothing against Randy Moss," Buck said. "I don't even know the guy. I just know that with the history that he's had, and coming off that game at Washington, it was just stunning to see that."

Moss walked off the field in frustration while his teammates lined up for an onside kick with 2 seconds left the previous week in a 21-18 loss to the Redskins.

Criticism is part of the game. It's not like the announcers need to praise the players every single minute of every game.

I wonder how Buck would feel if Leon mooned everyone.

That would make for a good commercial...

Come to think of it, we're letting a man who promotes a much-regulated taboo tell us that mooning is bad, drinking is good.

You're right, Pinks. I hate to admit it, but the Eagles should have no problem. I mean, the Redskins beat the Vikings..........

I just saw on the news (I hadn't yet heard it) that Moss was fined $10,000

off of Sports Illustrated.cnn.com

The exchange, on the subject of his $10,000 fine by the NFL, courtesy of KARE-TV in Minneapolis-St. Paul, captured outside the Vikings' practice facility, unalloyed in its brilliant contempt.

Reporter: "Write the check yet, Randy?"

Moss: "When you're rich, you don't write checks."

Reporter: "If you don't write checks, how do you pay these guys?"

Moss: "Straight cash, homey."

Reporter: "Randy, are you upset about the fine?"

Moss: "No, cause it ain't s---. Ain't nothing but 10 grand. What's 10 grand to me?"

he also added (it wasn't in this article) that next time maybe he will "shake his d*ck" or something along those lines

Nice to know that a physical hit on a QB which was issued the same day (to a Jets defensive lineman) - where although they is question about intent there still could have been a serious injury - is actually worth less then someone making a less-than-vulgar, fully clothed act.

Fred-Ex made the point today, on the first TD.........he pretended to fasten his belt!

As predicted, not much for Moss to celebrate today!

Bring on Vick!
