January 10, 2005 02:58 PM - Teen pop-singer Aaron Carter will soon take to the road as he gears up for the release of his first new album in three years.
Carter is scheduled to launch a U.S. club tour in early February, and dates so far are scattered into April. Details are shown below.
Among the cuts Carter will perform on the upcoming run is "Saturday Night," the title track from his forthcoming album. The single is due out in early March, while the album is scheduled for release sometime this spring, according to Carter's publicist.
Fans can get an early listen to the "Saturday Night" single by visiting Carter's official website, which is streaming the cut.
"Saturday Night" will be Carter's first new studio set since 2002's "Earthquake." "Aaron Carter: Most Requested Hits," a compilation of previously released tracks, surfaced in 2003.
Carter, who celebrated his 17th birthday in December, made headlines last week when he escaped injury after a mattress left in the roadway got trapped beneath the Cadillac Escalade he was driving on a Florida highway; the mattress caught fire and caused the vehicle to burst into flames. Carter and a passenger were unharmed, but the vehicle was completely consumed in the blaze, according to reports.
