LONDON (AP) _ Strawberry Fields are not forever, after all. The children's home in Liverpool that inspired John Lennon is planning on closing. The Salvation Army runs the home and says there isn't a need for such places any more because children are placed more and more in foster homes. There are only three children at Strawberry Fields, and the plan always was to put them in foster homes. Salvation Army official, Marion Drew, says they had to give two years' notice of closure, although they have not set a specific date. Drew says no decision has been made on the fate of the building or of Strawberry Fields' gates, which draw hundreds of Beatles fans every year.
