Mariah Carey It's Like that climbs to No. 24 on the BB Hot 100¡

First week, debuted at No. 53, second week climbs to the No 36 ( With no video yet). And now, on the 3rd week,MC jumps 12 spots till No. 24 and no video :blueeek: . And on its forth week on radio and the FIRST ONE since its official release, ILT has reached a peak of 53.347 million audience impressions and I repeat, with no video support. I hope the video will help to get more airplay and get to at least the top 10 on the BB hot 100¡ :cool: I think our Mariah is finally back, because this is her biggest hit since Lover boy that reached No. 2. And the album will do as well or beter than ILT, or so I hope. See U later LAMBS. :)

They need a vide release -- soon it's going to start losing steam if they don't have extra promotion to go with the single. Why are they raking so long? Even J.Lo has a video out.

We should see a vid within the next 2 weeks because it is to my understanding that it has already been shot. So I couldn't see it being released any later than 2 weeks (max)...maybe even before then if we're lucky. I don't think it'll be too late because from the looks of the chart, Mariah still has a few weeks before she peaks. We have 50 Cent's Candy Shop that is very quickly moving up the charts...he'll probably pass Mariah... Usher's song is going strong...plus, with this new download rule in play, we see the rise of other competition who wouldn't be otherwise.

I think the video will be released just in time to give it a boost along with her downloads. Download you guys! i don't think the record company are concerned about releasing a video with the song at the same time, they've been very clever thus far, everyone wanted to rush the release date at first and look how its sloted nicely, i think what they want is it to do well on airplay,
a vinyl is released mid febuary which will contribute slightly, aswell as the download chart, and say for instance the song peaks, and the video just comes out, it will keep the song in the highlight, and extend its longevity audience wise until the album's release date, i think there being very clever, and btw its audince impression is almost 56 million now. i hope it can just top 15 or top 10 next week, im kinda dissapointed with 24 lol, i expected top 20, and it would have been except for the download chart rules. just request and download, it's like that y'all.

Well, my idea involved trhe video actually helping increase the rate at which the single climbs. My guess is that they're not exaclty sure how to market her -- and if they get the image wrong, it might end up counter productive.

When Loverboy came out, the song with fun and bubble-gum pop-ish... when the vide came out, it was much the same except you could see Mariah's ass cheeks hanging out of her hot pants. I think everyone was confused by the whole odreal and didn't know what to make of it.

Their best bet would be to market her like they did in Honey/Breakdown/The Roof. Classy, Sultry, Atypical Ghetto-fied temptress seemed to be the right balance of sexy + appealing without being trashy.
