Yahoo! registration for new leagues starts tomorrow, so it's time to start preparing for LDLB '05!

If you are interested in joining in the merriment, post here. I will PM you with the league number, password and whatever other essentials there are.

We usually play with the Yahoo standards, although I think we usually increase the amount of innings a pitcher can pitch. We go with unrestricted trades for most of the season... I think end-of-year trades needs the commissioner's (my :p) approval.

This time, I'm planning on actually doing this. I'm in.

Well, I started looking at Yahoo! and ran into a payment snag, so I'll start again later.

However I wanted to see how people felt about the following customizations:

Maximum innings pitched: default is 1250, we'll have 1300.

Maximum number of players on DL at a time: 2 (1 is default).

We'll keep the batting positions as is default: AL-style with 8 position players and a utility batter (DH-esque).

Positional players scoring stats: Default are BA, HR, R, RBI & SB. I would like to add hits and fielding percentage.

Pitching stats: W, S, K (SO), ERA, WHiP. I don't propose any changes, but walks may be interesting.

Feelings? Thoughts? I don't think I can change the scoring aspects once the league is set.

Oh, and as always, we'll do an "auto-pick draft." This means yahoo! will set all managers with the same player rankings, but all palyer-managers can customize their list. We'll set the draft in motion no earlier than mid-March. Yahoo will randomly set the draft order.
