NEW YORK, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The following is a statement from
Britney Spears:

I am disturbed by the photos and article that appeared in this week's
issue of US Weekly Magazine (dated Feb 28, 2005), which they call my "private
honeymoon album." Kevin and I chose a resort location where we were promised
absolute privacy and seclusion. Unfortunately, staff members took photographs
of us, which we allowed them to take once we were assured they were being
taken only for private use in a scrap book they gave us as a souvenir of our
honeymoon. Other magazines, including the Star, contacted us when presented
with these photographs and refused to publish them. Kevin and I thank those
other magazines for respecting our rights of privacy.

She really shouldn't have trusted the staff at the island. She is too nice for her own good at times. Everyone was saying she sold them, but if she really wanted to sell the photos, she would have sold them to People...they got the engagement and wedding exclusive. I thought it all seemed a bit fishy. There is no way she would sell them to USWeekly, a magazine which she hates with a passion.

She doesn't have a case. All she can do is say she doesn't stand by them. She let them take photos of her, and she trusted them unfortunately money speaks so when Magazines are willling to pay they will give it to them. If she had gotten something in writing then maybe.

I read a comment from Usweekly, and they said they don't think Privacy is the Issue here. This is someone who sold her wedding photos, pictures of her Stepdaughter ext... They think she is more pissed because she didn't get paid for them.
