LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Eric Idle says the Beatles, especially the late George Harrison, got a kick out of his Beatles parody "The Rutles.'' Now "The Rutles 2: Can't Buy Me Lunch'' is about to come out on D-V-D. Since it was made three and a half years ago the sequel to the original Rutles T-V special has only been played for select audiences. But Idle says Harrison was able to see it before he died. "Can't Buy Me Lunch'' has the Rutles on a reunion tour and has celebrities talking about the impact the Rutles have had on their lives. Idle says Tom Hanks is a fan. He says the actor knew all about the Rutles, and had all their titles memorized. He says Hanks cries at the break-up of the Rutles, and he hopes that part is on the D-V-D. "The Rutles 2: Can't Buy Me Lunch'' hits stores March first.

Okay, better than nothing. It's done by the Pythons, so it must be good. ;)

Ah yes! The Rutles.. "Cheese & Onions", absolutely hilarious. I bought the DVD last year and I've watched it many times since then.

Finally picked up the new Rutles 2 DVD. This is the first time I've ever bought a DVD without reading the reviews on Amazon, and it will undoubtedly be the last.
It's the same freakin' movie with new interviews by the likes of Tom Hanks, Robin Williams and Conan O'Brien (all of whom i love btw), but the lame attempts at humor in these interviews will make even the biggest Rutles fan want to throw up. Same "Cheese & Onions" & "Ouch" videos, same old Mick Jagger interviews. IMHO, I just burned $19.99..
