Aaron Carter, now 17, has been making headlines with everything from the Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff love triangle to his near death experience when his car burst into flames on a Florida highway. Despite all of the coverage you've seen in tabloids Aaron's career dates back to when he was simply known as "a Backstreet Boys little brother". However, if you assume that Aaron's another spoiled rich kid living off his family then you'd be wrong. Having released five CDs, with another on the way, all before he can legally vote - I'd say he's paid his dues in the music business. After spending his childhood touring, releasing CDs, and trying to prove himself worthy of the celebrity status he now holds, the worlds little prince of pop isn't so little anymore.

What was the filming process like for Fat Albert? How long did you shoot for?

For me I think it was a three day process. It was really cool I know Keenan Thompson so it was really cool working with him.

Did you go to the premiere?

No. I actually haven't even seen the movie.

Are there any future movies we can expect to see you in?
Yeah I'm doing a movie called Supercross right now. It has Robert Patrick in it, the metal guy from Terminator 2.

If you had to choose between acting or sing' to pursue for the rest of your life which one would you pick?

Sing'

Your fans are getting anxious for the release of your new CD. When can we expect to see it in stores?

June - Probably at the end of June, but March 22nd my single will be out.

Do you have a title for the CD yet?

No, not yet. I'll have to start thinking about that (laughs).

Do you feel that since you split with Jive you're getting the promotion you deserve?

Oh absolutely. Jive was just crowded with too many artists and I was always put on the back burner so it's better that I'm on my own. I have a new record label now.

Since you've started your acting career and have been seen on both the big screen (Fat Albert) and on television (7th Heaven) -- Do you think you've been getting more respect from the press vs. when you were just known as an artist?

I guess you could say that in a sense because they just like to see you out there. The more you're out there the more it gets better for you.

Since you wrote the single "Saturday Night" do you believe everywhere you go someone wants to kick it with you?

Yeah.. kind of. I wanna kick it with them too.

You just shot the video for "Saturday Night" - Can you tell us about the shoot and the concept behind it?

It was fun, it was really fun. I just saw the video yesterday; I think it's going to be great. The concept is just a party. Getting off a plane and we're going to work, and I steal my tour bus and pick up a bunch of people and go party.

Is there a release for that yet?

I have no idea. I just saw it yesterday so I don't know when they're going to put it out, hopefully soon.

What made you decide to get back with Lou Pearlman considering your past with him?

The fact that he started my career and I have faith in him. I think we can do it together; he's a very nice guy.

What do you have lined up for after the tour?

Getting into the studio and trying to hurry up and finish the album.

Out of everything you've experienced as an artist what situation has been the hardest lesson learned?

Probably building a friendship with people who are your friends, but (in the end) really not your friends. That's probably the hardest when that happens.

The last question is from the esstupid book of questions. If you could perform a duet with any singer you wanted on national television, whom would you pick and what would you sing?

Marvin Gaye "Sexxual Healing," but he's dead.
