Just wondering what were your first impressions of her when you first heard her? When I first heard her, I thought "wow she sounds really young and has a unique voice" when i heard her on the radio. then i saw her on TV and i was like "she seems a little like britney" but when i bought her CD, i was like no way this girl is NOT like britney!! She has a much better voice. ever since i bought her cd i've been hooked!!

I am very, very ashamed to admit this, but when I first heard GIAB, I thought it was Brit. This isn't all my fault, KISS FM talked about Brit and THEN put on GIAB.
Then I got her CD and my opinions all changed, and you all know what I think!

I used to be really stupid- I HATED GIAB. for 3 reasons:
1) My brother thought she was hot, and liked her, so I automatically hated Christina (sibling rivalry)
2) I HATED Pop music back then.
3) I put Christina in the same category ad Brit, and I hated Brit back then too.
But NOW...now I LOVE Christina! I was totally hooked on WAGW, and I got the CD right after ITTY came out.

Well, I heard Genie in a bottle on the radio and thought it was a cool song and thought she had a pretty good voice. Then I bought the single, heard Blessed, and thought wow she has a real nice voice. So I was slowly becoming a fan...Then I saw the video and thought she was pretty. Then started looking up info on her on the internet, heard I Turn To You before the CD was out and became a fan. Then I bought her cd. loved it, I was hooked. I was suppose to meet her the day her cd came out but nobody took me to LA to the signing. :(

The first time I heard GIAB was in a mall and it was one of the two songs they played there(and I was at the mall for about 3 hrs.),so as you can imagine I was hating the song. But then I saw Christina on the New Year's Eve bash on Mtv and I was totally amazed with her voice and I've been a big fan ever since,I love GIAB now that it's not played to death.

The first time I heard GIAB I thought it was a really catchy pop song and I loved it, then after that I actually listened to the singing and I thought "Dang, this girl can Sing!" so I went and got the album when it came out cause I figured that it had to be awesome considering her voice and I was right. :)

Well when I first heard her on the radio, it was like a breath of fresh air. I was so sick of Britney's computer-generated voice. I liked the song immediately. When I saw her video in MTV, I fell in love with her even more! I was obsessed after the second time seeing GIAB. I was so excited when I would see her on tv. And now I am one of her many fanatics.

I heard christina's voice and I completely stopped talking to my friend (who was staring at me like i had just sprung wings) and as the song concluded I almost started to cry, my friend was like, what the F is wrong with you?!? and I was like, OMG! OMG! its christina!! LOOK! its christina!! (this was when i heard Reflection and checked the credits in Mulan) CHRISTINA! Do you have any idea who that is?!?! I said to my frind, and she just looked at me with a blank face and said, uhh...no, but I'm guessing your gonna tell me, and I said, OMG! I cant believe you dont know who that is! OMG! and then I explained that I had been the biggest fan of MMC for the few years that christina and britney were in it and i was devistated when it was over. I heard that voice and I remembered it and I knew it was someone I knew, and I was right! I was sooooo happy to hear she was doing something with her career I almost fell down dead, anyway, thats my story :D

When I first heard "Genie in a Bottle," I thought it was a run-of-the-mill teen pop song. Then I saw her video, and it was like seeing a Britney clone with a dance move or two that looked like Britney's. At that time, dancing wasn't the norm in music videos yet, so I thought Christina and Britney were pretty much the same person. Those were my first impressions of Christina.

Well I'm VERY ashamed to admit this but...I thought "Wow this is a good song, but shes gonna be just a one hit wonder" boy am I eating my words now eh?? LOL. I liked her alot at first but I didn't think she would last long (cuz I didn't know how well she could sing until I bought the album) cuz GIAB didn't show case all she could do. I listened to the songs when I got her album and I was like woah!:D And here I am :p

When GIAB first debuted on TRL and I was watching I was like "Oh great, another Britney Spears. This sucks" and then I changed the channel. But little did I know how very different Christina was from Britney and how much better she was. So then I was outside and I started singing the tune in my head, then out loud, then some of the words - which weren't correct. So then I watched TRL to see the video every day to learn the words. So then I became attached to the song and attached to Christina. And here I am now, 'obsessed' with her, as people say.

When I first heard Genie In A Bottle I didn't like it. (I guess it's because I didn't like the video) But then What A Girl Wants came out. I became one of her fans when I heard it. Then I brought the cd and I loved it.

Wow, everyone's 1st was GIAB. My 1st time I saw her it was during her Reflection, and I saw the video on Disney, Waaaaaay before GIAB, I was on the phone to my friend and i was like go to Disney, Damn that gurl has a voice! I didn't really think anything of it, then my friend was like requestion GIAB on your radio, its a cool song. This is when shes was 1st coming out. Then i put it together it was the same girl, got the CD the 1st day it came out, and then about1 month later I loved her and went to her concert in Pleasure Island! But I have never had any hate for GIAB or anything like that.

the first time I heard her was Reflection, on the muzak system that pumps through my old work :) and I thought it was a much older woman singing.. and I thought her voice was amazing... then I found out who sang it & looked her up on the internet & was blown away by how old she was... then I saw the Reflection video on somewhere (probably Disney like Bonnie)

I first heard her when I saw the Reflection video on Disney channel, and I HATED her!! :o My sister and I thought she was the worst singer ever (we were dumb back then)!! But I was 12 then, and I was more into the boy bands like *NSYNC and BSB. I heard GIAB and WAGW on the radio a couple times, and I didn't think they were anything special, and we were in Europe when her first video and cd was released and for a while after that, so we kinda missed the initial hype, and my friends don't like that kind of music so I didn't hear about her. Then I was watching the Grammy's, and I really didn't like Macy Gray, so I wanted either Britney or Christina to win, though I didn't really know that much about Christina. But then afterwards I bought her cd cause her speech was so cute and then I listened more to her songs. And I relized how talented she really is, and now I love her :D

The first time I saw GIAB I thought she looked like one of my brother's friends. I didn't like the song at first, but when I kept on hearing it I liked it.

I am SO sorry to admit this, but when Christina first came out, I HATED her. I thought she was another non talented Britney Spears, and I just couldn't take it. But I LOVED GIAB, I even bought the single. Then I saw her on TV, and someone was like "She's so pretty!" and the moron I am, was like "whatever!" ( I was SO jealous!). Then I saw her on Summer Music Mania '99, and I noticed how she sang live, danced, and sounded surprizingly good. So when i went back to school, I wasn't convinced, but one of my guy friends are totally in love with Christina, so all I ever heard was "Christina this" "Christina that", so I bought her CD, and now I have been a fan for a whole year. In fact, I got her CD last Christmas...:)

country, Because of the name Aguilera.

When I first heard her I thought she was just another
pop star and I really did not care. Then when she won
a Grammy I realized she is way more better than those
'other' pop stars out there cuz she actually sings
from the heart.

I first heard Christina during the end credits of Mulan. I didn't have a clue as to who she was, only that she couldn't have been younger than...20. Even back then her voice was mature and commanding.
I first SAW Christina while walking through a Disney store, it was playing "Reflections" the music vid. Seeing her in that video didn't exactly help curb my confusion as to her age:D. I still thought she was much older.
Then GIAB came out and I guess I was really amazed at how young she made out to be. I guess first impressions aren't exactly helpful in music biz;)
But there ya have it!

I heard GIAB on the radio and was like alright this girl can sing. I didn't even see the video at the time, I think I was late seeing it :p My sis bought her CD the day it came out and I started listening to it. I really thought that she'd be a one hit wonder..but with live performances including the TRL one, she proved me wrong.

I remember seeing the GIAB video on MTV before it even made it to TRL, and I thought "oh no, another Britney" but I liked the song. I heard Ananda talking about her once, saying how she sang like whitney houston and I always paid attention to the video when it came on cuz I thought she sounded good. Then I looked her up online and I heard a clip of ITTY and I knew she was different. I remember telling my mom about her and I was like "This girl can sing!" I was all excited and I couldn't wait until her first CD came out. I remember my two best friends from college made fun of her all the time and compared her to britney and I kept the fact that I liked her a secret, but now they all know... especially since I drove 3 hours to get home one weekend just to go to her concert. But my best friend since first grade is the only one who truly knows the depth of my obsession because I made her pay $50 for a ticket to the concert so she could go with me! Anyway, I have been a fan since then and I LOVE Christina's voice! She's amazing!

I LOVE TO REMEMBER THAT!Well...U know that age when you start to get more into music?Right, so I was starting to listen to the radio and watch Mtv and I was sorta "pickin' up" my sounds preferences and every time on the radio or Mtv someone was talking about Christina Aguilera, and I was like "Who the hell is this girl?!",u know?I knew Britney Spears,BSB...but this "Christina Aguilera" I didn't know...I listened to WAGW, I liked it but I didn't know it was Christina performing!
One day, I was watching one brazilian channel and I saw GIAB, and I LOVED IT!I was like "THIS SONG IS SEXY!" and I kinda told to myself "I LOVE THIS SONG!",on the end of the video I got to know Christina Aguilera, a few min later I was watching WAGW on Mtv I already knew WAGW but, again,I didn't know it was Christina, so...this day I found out that I loved 2 songs performed by this girl named "Christina Aguilera" and after that all that I did was looking for Christina's songs on the radio stations, Mtv and Internet, then I bought her cd and here I am!
The only thing I don't like to remember is that it all happened when Christina came here to a show case which I didn't go to.And I also didn't see any tv show that she appeared on, and that's sad, but...Anyway...That's my story!

The first Christina song I ever heard was Genie in a Bottle. How could I not hear that song? It was a hit, every single moment you turned the radio on, you would hear it. I loved this song when I first heard it. I loved it! I bought the single when it came out. I really didn't thought about the voice when I first heard it. But of course, with time I noticed that this girl, Christina Aguilera could sing, and had a great voice. But at first, what I really cared was that the song was cool.

I didn't really have much of an opinion on Christina at first. What really made me become a fan was when I bought the CD as a birthday gift for a friend. That made me want to tape her TV performances and collect info and look her up on the net...the whole shebang. HeHe. When What a Girl Wants came out, I became an even bigger fan. What I really look for in an artist is someone who can sing just as well live as they can on their CD, and with Christina, I personally find that she sings even better live than how she sounds in the studio. I love that chica! Genie in a Bottle is now one of my favourite songs of all time :o :)

Yeah,i can never forget the day when i first heard GIAB.I was like "hey , i kinda like this song..."Right after the DJ said "that was the 18 year-old Christina Aguilera"...'I was like "18??!!With that kinda voice??!!"I bought her album in that same week.
I really enjoyed her stuff in her debut album..But i jez don't understand why people keep comparing her with Britney. There's so much difference between Christina's and Britney's singing style and songs.
