This is from an e-mail I got from Paul Mccartney's website:

Paul McCartney is ready to rock with ‘US’ this fall, nearly four years after his critically hailed, Billboard Magazine Concert Tour of the Year, ‘Back In the U.S.’ swept through the U.S. Since his return to the stage in 2002, after a decade long performance hiatus, millions from countries across the globe have experienced his sold-out concerts...

Tickets for Paul McCartney’s ‘US’ Tour go on sale beginning Saturday, April 23rd. Check local listing for details. For more information about ‘US’ go to www.paulmccartney.com.

Lexus will be the presenting sponsor of the ‘US’ Tour.

“I’m very pleased to be a part of this new project with Lexus because I think there is a natural fit,” said McCartney.

Yep, I heard about this from the Paul McCartney website, interesting.. I'd love to see Macca, but I'm sick of going to concerts at the United Center. The arena is so huge and I usually end up scoring over-priced crappy seats, meanwhile, the sound is complete s*$%.

I don't know, maybe I'll try to get tickets on-line this time. Then again, maybe I should get Bulls playoff tickets instead.. Hmm.

What, you don't get them online already? Well there's your problem, you moron.

I'm going, I'm going, I'm going.

Damn you, I usually just call Ticketmaster.. I have this weird thing about buying stuff on-line..

haha, calling? What are you, in the stone ages? If you want good tickets you get them online. Duh.

You have to go, I can't believe you wouldn't. *bounces up and down* I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go. But I'm uh, not excited or anything.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Such Great News. Yes, Worthy Of Typing In All Caps!!!

*brushes dust and cobwebs off shoulder*

So you don't like my antiquated way of doing things, eh punk?

I'll probably end up going, if I can get tickets. It's hard as hell to get tickets for a premium show like McCartney in Chicago, they sell out in minutes, not hours.. If it was Barnum & Bailey or The Globetrotters, there wouldn't be a problem.

Same thing here James. That's why I'm sure they scheduled two right off the bat.

And unfortunately, that second show will go as fast as the first. That's why I kind of want to go to a Ticketmaster outlet instead of trying my luck online. I bet that Ticketmaster website will be jammed with people when those tix go on sale.

Apr 18th, 2005, 04:52 PM
Well, it's official. My Mom and I are going, and it's a surprise for my Mom, so that's really exciting. Combo birthday/Mother's Day present. :D

I'm going, I'm going, I'm going.

Well, I definitely see the logic..it's almost impossible to get tickets online sometimes for huge acts.

I'm so excited about this though, I think I'm going to go to the show on my bday, Nov 11! I just hope I can get decent tickets on ticketmaster

bekahbeans
Apr 18th, 2005, 08:59 PM
No it's not. You just camp out in front of your computer before they go on sale and get them right away. Piece of cake.

They're not on ticketmaster yet for Detroit. Why not? *glares* I WANT THEM UP THERE NOW!

ACFrackzGrl
Apr 18th, 2005, 11:22 PM
Maybe for YOU. But in LA it's very hard, I tried 2 times to get tickets for U2 for a family member and nothing came up and I was online right when they went on sale.

Apr 18th, 2005, 11:27 PM
Oh well that was simply an act of God. They're horrible.

lol I never said *I* liked them, but either way I have a feeling the same thing will happen with tickets for this tour...

Oh well that was simply an act of God. They're horrible.

My friend begged me to buy a ticket with her for U2 and I'm really glad I didn't now so I can afford this ticket!

db44
Apr 19th, 2005, 01:06 AM
I've seen McCartney twice so far, U2 only once.

Not enough in either case.

Columbus goes on sale Friday... Maybe if you want your tickets so badly Bekah you should just buy for that show.

Oh yeah...well, I wish I had the time, the money, and the ability to convince my dad to do that. But I have none of these things.

db44
Apr 19th, 2005, 03:40 AM
Well, you can bail on dad and rob a bank. The time I can't help you with.

bekahbeans
Apr 19th, 2005, 12:48 PM
I can't rob a bank without Billy or Bruce! Come ON! Geez. *shakes head in disgust*

db44

The site just sent me presale information, with the pre-sale being tomorrow for a handful of cities (including Detoit). They say they only sent the info out to people who were registered before the tour was announced. I don't know if you have to have you password ready, but there is a special site and code for the pre-sale.

Sinister
Apr 21st, 2005, 04:52 PM
Yeah, I got that mailer as well, with my secret password. Problem for me is..

1. You can only buy two tickets per show.

2. Chicago 10/18/05 isn't on the pre-sale list. Bastages! As a matter of fact, the UC show isn't even on the Ticketmaster list, although Chicago is listed on Paul's site.

I don't know what the hell is going on..

bekahbeans
Apr 21st, 2005, 06:40 PM
Maybe if you lived in a decent state instead of in that hell-hole you might get pre-sale options too. *gloats*

You're just mad because we're better than you, and most of your population was formed out in the cornfields, in the missionary position, between siblings and cousins.

:D

Must I really bring up the UP again? ;)

I love Chicagoans, I really do.

bekahbeans
Apr 22nd, 2005, 06:13 AM
Don't be ridiculous, Katie. Everyone knows there are no corn fields in the UP.

And they don't use the missionary position either, it's too cold. They've got it perfected standing up, completely clothed. Obviously.

Give 'em a few years. Soon it will be all done by injection.

bekahbeans
Apr 22nd, 2005, 06:36 AM
They already do that too. With a turkey baster.

db44
Apr 22nd, 2005, 07:08 AM
I hope they buy a new baster for Thanksgiving. :blueeek:

Four pre-sales cities slated for tomorrow: Tampa, Philly, Dallas, Sacramento.

pinky
Apr 29th, 2005, 12:59 PM
PINKY SCORES!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so I'm in nosebleed. Not the first time I'll be that far from Paul. The point is, I'm IN!!!!!!

db44
Apr 29th, 2005, 02:37 PM
I guess my turn is next... I hope NYC is in the third round of pre-sales.

princessKT
Apr 29th, 2005, 03:43 PM
Are you going to Philly, pinky? I'm only asking because of the Jersey reference in your location.

I'm still so happy that I'm going to this concert. It's been a pretty long time coming. And I'm also happy I'm going with my Mom, someone who can truly appreciate it.

pinky
Apr 29th, 2005, 04:21 PM
Yep, Philly is it. The last time I saw Paul, he was with his friends (John, George, and Ringo), it was in a venue that was on the same spot as the Wachovia Center, and I was still young! :hah:

And, while my tickets are nosebleed, I will be right next to the stage, so it's not that bad.....better than nosebleed in the back!

I don't even know who will be going with me.....both kids will be away at college, and Mr. Pink still refers to the Beatles as "the most overrated group in history."

princessKT
Apr 29th, 2005, 05:57 PM
Wait, you saw the Beatles in concert? It's possibly less rare on the east coast, but I have only really known one person who has seen them from out west. My Mom's friend's Dad worked at whatever casino they played at here, so she got free tickets. She still to this day says she doesn't even like them, and she likes to rub it in my Mom's face. haha What a punk!

My seats are on the lower level towards the back. You have better seats then me probably!

pinky
Apr 30th, 2005, 06:46 AM
Actually, twice! Atlantic City in 1964, and Philly in 1966.

We got right up to their car in '64.....very exciting times!

I had a friend who saw them all three years they toured. She won tickets to Shea Stadium from a radio station. That was supposed to have been their best performance EVER.

And, YES, they were an incredibly good live band.

princessKT
Apr 30th, 2005, 11:40 AM
That is just a dream come true for me to even think about seeing them play live. It gives me goosebumps.

I've seen the footage from Shea Stadium and the girls were just crazy. haha

db44
Apr 30th, 2005, 11:52 AM
I don't know if that was their best performance, but certainly one of their most famous. When they talk about it, the Beatles say they couldn't hear anything over the crowds (then again, they said that about many of their shows).

db44
May 2nd, 2005, 05:54 AM
NY pre-sale starts today, but that's for AM EX card holders.

The "real" pre-sale is this Friday.

princessKT
May 2nd, 2005, 02:54 PM
I wish they would have done that for Las Vegas! My Dad's had an AmEx so long that he's some sort of special member. Grrr.

db44
May 3rd, 2005, 01:02 AM
So let's make a deal, buy tickets and come to NYC for the show.

princessKT
May 3rd, 2005, 12:20 PM
Um, no. haha Don't have the cash to fork over for more tickets or another plane ticket.

May 4th, 2005, 12:53 AM
I thought you may be back in D.C. by then. :p

pinky
May 6th, 2005, 04:20 PM

db44
May 6th, 2005, 05:09 PM
Didn't... Work got busy at te end so I missed out.

pinky
May 6th, 2005, 05:12 PM

I'm not moving there for another year. I have exactly one more year of school.
