Host: I am in the celebrity lounge with Aaron Carter. Aaron's got a new cd coming out called Saturday Night. (turns to Aaron) New single, Saturday Night, tell me a little bit about the video.
Aaron: Well the video is um it's kinda crazy um it's pretty much me um in the beginning of the video it starts off you know where we're getting off our tourbus, getting on a plane going to the next venue and I'm pretty much like 'you know what, forget this. I'm not going to deal with this anymore' and then I go and I steal my tour bus and go pick up a whole bunch of hot girls and then uh round them up throughout the day and then uh at the end of the night we end up going to Club Paris and uh party in there and then just say it's Saturday night.
Host: Club Paris is Paris Hilton's club?
Aaron: Yes
Host: How long were you guys fliming in there? How much, how long does it take to do a scene like that?
Aaron: Um. I mean, it took, it took three days of fliming, um, for the whole video but just in the club by itself it took a whole day, so.
Host: Now this video is kind of like a transition for you. People know you from when you were doing this since you were just a young kid, so tell me about what this transation period is like for you and what you need to do as an artist
Aaron: Well first off it's of course difficult and coming from being such a younger talent and uh trying to just change my, my whole perspective and music and uh ya know all of that um especially from my fans perspective, too, and um that's the main thing I'm doing with this song, when I wrote this song. Um, I wrote it like two years ago when I was taking a break I was like 'this song is going be the new song that changes things and changes who Aaron Carter really is' and um, that's the thing about artists that's really unique. Some people can come into the industry then they can just be one person and but they it's hard to change as you get older and, like for me, you know of course I went from being you know starting at at this when I was like 6, 7 years old and now I'm almost eighteen years old so my music can't be like it was before, it's gotta change so that's, that's what I did with Saturday Night
Host: You said you kinda, like wanna say who you are. What are you trying to put out there? Who are you?
Aaron: I'm a seventeen year old kid.
Host: Just like everyone else, just having fun, wants to get out and party
Aaron: Everybody else in this room has been seventeen years old. Ya know, I don't know what I'm taking about, you know what we do at seventeen
Host: Are you dating anyone right now?
Aaron: Um, I am dating somebody. Yeah...it's kinda crazy. It's a crazy life. Especially um, being in this industry dating somebody is really tough. Um, she's not in the industry, she's not a celebrity, and um, we get along really good. We fight and bicker all the time.
Host: Does that make it better? Cause it's hard, you have that very open, like battle between Lindsay Lohan and-
Aaron: You know, it kind of, it's sometimes even more difficult being um, being in a relationship with somebody who is not a celebrity because they really don't understand from your perspective. Like, in the realationship I'm in now, you know, I thought it was going to be easier but it's really more complicated and alot tougher because, you know, she's used to seeing me and how I am and the whole that happened with Hilary and Lindsay, you know, of course. And back then I wasn't, I mean, I was fourteen years old. Those girls wanted me to have a ring on my finger. Both of them. And I was like, 'no'.
