Tonight was quite amazing. Me and my friends, Mew, Spirit and Java Joyce went to see Max speak at an event to support Jewish community services.
What a nice treat. He was not only well spoken, but thoughtful, witty and full of interesting anecdotal stories about his early drumming days and the early years in the ESB. He also showed two video montages-one about his journey into the drumming world and the other from his perspective as a member of the ESB. He also answered questions from the audience.
At the end, he was very approachable and stayed for photos and autographs. What a refreshing change-being that a couple of weeks ago some of us saw Steven speak in the City and he couldn't wait to bail once he was finished speaking.
FYI, we asked him (privately) whether we would be seeing them in the fall and he gave a vague answer making a reference to Brigadoon-but he didn't say no.
Max was sweet and genuine-a real surprise! :redcool:
