I commented how sweet it must be living outside of Bruces lil circle and how easy it is to then get good tickets.

congrats to everyone who got !

Can anyone suggest a hotel for Columbus or Cincinnati?

Faithful Man
Jun 24th, 2005, 08:54 AM
I pinched-hit for a good friend and got good tickets to both Ohio shows.

Like everything else in life, it's a trade-off. Folks outside NJ/PA/NY have fewer shows in area and rarely get special appearances, but it does seem easier to get good tickets. Tri-state gets the quantity and the surprise guest appearances, but has to battle everyone else for tickets.

Congrats to those who scored tickets, for themselves or friends.

When I was considering a trip to Columbus, I noticed that there was a Country Inn and Suites that was about 2 miles from the airport and 8 miles from Schottenstein Center. There were several other CI&S in the area as well.

I like the chain. There is one by my son's college and we had good luck with them in various locations.

Can anyone suggest a hotel for Columbus or Cincinnati?

For Cincinnati, if you are looking for a good deal use Priceline.com. You should be able to get a 4 star hotel for $60 or less. This would include the Westin and Hilton Netherland Plaza. Both hotels are very nice and within walking distance to the arena. Check out this website for bidding strategies, http://p070.ezboard.com/bpricelineandexpediabidding

If you would like to stay in luxury go for the Cincinnatian Hotel http://www.cincinnatianhotel.com/.

Here is the latest:

Part of Mick's Chicks (harem, entourage, whatever) are making the trip to OHIO, leaving the Mick back in Ronkonkoma.

BUT, he will be replaced by another LD male..... so, the question is: is Wheels out? gone? finished? is this permanent? is the King dead?

Or is this just a temporary diversion for the Chicks? ;)

can you stand the suspense? :susp2:

Shocking...Costas and I are finally sitting together for the first time this tour. Sec. 2 Row C for Cincinatti. For Columbus one on phone Sec. 2 and one online in Sec. 3.

Musictrvlr is finally home from the long and winding road with her new adoptees from Tennessee. She made a little detour after the tour and now her family of kiddies is larger, but what's one or two more mouths to feed? :)

Welcome to our world!

Mindy...hotels......For the Columbus reunion show I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites that Faithful Man recommended. Accomodations were fine, price was reasonable and it is convenient to the venue. There did not seem to be much in the way of hotels nearby. You have a short interstate ride to the campus area with not much in between. Ashnoel has good advice on Cincy, especially the two hotels she named. We stayed at The Omni, which is now the Hilton Netherland Plaza, and got a real good advance rate. For stalking purposes, for the Reunion tour the band stayed across the street from the Hilton Netherland/Westin area. I think the hotel is now called Four Points by Sheraton. Sandy, did you stay there? Or maybe we hung out there for awhile. I know some people got autographs and such in the afternoon before the show. I think they flew out right after the show, if memory serves me correct, which it does not always do. ;)

C'mon Mick, be bold.....after all you can't trust your chicks with us midwestern folk, can you?

See you all in Cincy! :)

congrats to everyone who got !Thanks for the congrats. Yes it IS sweet for the FEW times we get shows here. Now the trade-off is the numerous shows you can get to, not to mention book signings, random appearances and that sort of thing. Methinks you would not trade all of that for JB's once per tour. ;) :)

I did not go to Cincy for the Rising Tour. For the Reunion tour, mrsports (whatever happened to him?) organized a rather large gathering at a place called The In Between. This was a bar just a couple of blocks from the arena. There was an awful lot of construction then, and new football and baseball stadiums have opened since then. I don't know if new entertainment spots have opened, or if the In Between is still there. If you remember mrsports he lived in California but was from Cincinnati. The In Between was a fun party, they played Bruce music all night......there was a contingent from Greasy Lake and other fan groups. I remember meeting a few of you there, although I think Deena was still in the closet. ;)

Yep!! Can't wait .......... haven't seen a Bruce show in quite some time.

Mindy Mindy Mindy ....... slave-boy? I like the possibilities ...... but I know that just means luggage, carrying drinks ........ hmmmm, this sounds like Rent-A-Husband.

No - not a husband. I got one of those already. I told you - we are liberated, and we don't need anyone shlepping our luggage (especially since it'll be on wheels!). I guess I just like the sound of slave-boy. Let me re-think this, and I'll come up with other possibilities.

Being a very vane person, I did a search on myself. I see my name came up, and glad to not totally be forgotten. We do have computers here in Mexico and I live just South of San Diego and actually visit my home country once a month of so. If I remember For You is from Tennessee and lil'sports is their with mrssports. (actually exmrssports, but she is still near and dear to my heart) They actually may be here soon for a two month stay.

Lil'sports is now 6. Is that unbelievable or what? He is bi-lingual and has his way here in Mexico when he visits. He is a chick magnet as well and still wears his white Born in the USA shirt, but a new one may be in order soon.

Haven't seen a show since 03 I believe in Dodger Stadium when I ran into a couple of real celebrities like ......carey and annie

Sorry I am not here to participate very much but I look at the site every few months.

Much love to all my good friends who made the Reunion Tour so much fun for me. Still have a picture of Bumper Wayne, Paulie, and I on top of the World Trade Center before the last show of that tour.

Muchos besos para las mami's. Te quiero mucho!!!

OMG, the long, lost mrsports, now mrsportsinmexico. ¿Cómo hace usted? ¿Usted es todavía un hombre que apuesta?

Nice to see you back here. We had a few good times on that Reunion tour, at least the shows I remember. :)

Tome el cuidado mi amigo.

I seem to remember jailbaits in Houston, and hanging out in Anaheim, Las Vegas, and New York. Wouldn't be suprised if there is something I don't remember as well.
