Hi all
With a great thanks to some wonderful fans in the Springsteen community, I'm happy to offer up on Live Daily the three-DVD set of the full, unedited VH1 Bruce Springsteen Storytellers taping from April 4, 2005 at the Two Rivers Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey.
This is the raw footage and is phenomenal. What was shown on TV was heavily edited. This runs close to two-and-a-half hours long.

Bruce performs the following songs:
Devils & Dust
Blinded By the Light
Brilliant Disguise (with Patti Scialfa)
Nebraska (twice)
Jesus Was an Only Son (piano) (twice)
Waitin' on a Sunny Day (twice)
The Rising (twice)
Thunder Road (piano) (twice)

And both takes of the five songs he did twice are here on these discs.
The song explications are shown as Springsteen offered them, not as voice-overs. This is that magical night as it happened (without the Q&A session).

I will be happy to do this as I usually do on Live Daily: for blanks and postage or a small paypal to cover expenses.

This is not a tree.

Contact me at stannerg@aol.com for information. Put "Storytellers - Live Daily" in the subject line.

and I will get back to you with information on obtaining this.

I also have available the two-DVD set "Attack of the Relatives" from the May 19, 2005 show at the Continental Airlines Arena in New Jersey. This is a fantastic DVD, a two-camera shoot. which looks pro shot.
I am happy to do this for blanks and postage also.
I just got back from being away for 10 days and anyone who sent me blanks recently and hasn't received for the last trio of shows I offered, I will have them mailed out this week.
Thank you
Stan

So this is everything VH1 shot that night? And it was dubbed over by someone who works for VH1? Or is this audience shot??

Hard to imagine it is an audience boot -- everyone coming in went thru a metal detector and was patted, and the room was so intimate, you'd have to have the world's tiniest cameras to not be noticed. I'm assuming this is VH1 contraband.

What makes this offer all the more amazing is that Stan was one of the unlucky few who got in the standby line but then didn't get inside the house (if i'm not mistaken -- right stan?). So gracious of you to spread this around...i sent you an email...

An update.
I finally had a chance to watch this today and it's incredible.
This is the pro-shot footage, not someone sneaking a camera in.
They cut out so much for the final product that aired on VH1 and it's awesome to see it all just as the people did who were fortunate enough to attend the filming.

Disc One runs 52:51 and includes:
1. Devils & Dust and Bruce's discussion of the lyrics.
2. Blinded By The Light: Great story by Bruce about this song, how he wrote it, how Clarence was missing in action and that's why he appears on only two songs on the album.
3. Brilliant Disguise (with Patti).
4. Nebraksa. This was not shown on the VH1 show. Bruce plays this twice and he explains the songs in depth. Just great to watch.

Disc Two (52:51)
1. Jesus Was An Only Son (on piano, he plays it twice and discusses the song).
2. Waiting on A Sunny Day (a lot of fun, does his Smokey Robinson imitation).
3. The Rising (does it twice).
4. First play of Thunder Road.

Disc Three (17:30)
1. Plays Thunder Road for the second time. talks about living near the Inkwell (restaurant) in Long Branch, NJ and writing the song.

The offer remains open. I sent out a bunch today and will try to get to as many as I can this week.
E-mail me at stannerg@aol.com for information on how to obtain this phenomenal DVD.

Stan,

You are a legend! Got the set over the 4th, and it became the must viewing for the weekend. Amazing....that is the way the show should have been aired. Maybe it will be an official release for Xmas.

Thanks for leading the way,

Moe

This is an amazing DVD. Better have a couple hours available when you start it because you will not stop until the last note. Hard to beleive VH1 left so much of this in the cutting room. This is essential Boss video. Stan your genorosity to make this available is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Stan, You're the greatest. Will send an e-mail to you, but wanted to let everyone know how thankful I am for your generous offers.

And folks, don't forget Stan's book on Bruce sites in NJ. Great resource for any Bruce pilgrimage.

I've been having fun with my photo editing program and designed some artwork for this, if anyone wants it. I also catalogued the discs, since the chapters don't seem to line up right on my copy. Here is artwork for a double jewel case, if you're using that, as well as for a full sized DVD case. If these don't print out the right size, I'd be happy to e-mail the full size .jpg to anyone who wants it:
