Your favorite BSB concert memory

I remember how How and that short blonde dancer were ga-lued together and their eyes on each other. I needed water.

And how unreal it was to see them in their human forms. They actually appeared to have bodies. I'm explaining this badly and sound crazier than I was at the time. Just the notion that I could actually SEE them in what appeared to be the flesh was just mind-blowing. When they first rose out of the black box, it was like the universe tilted and I had to remember to breathe. I just don't get out much, I guess. They appeared to be more sharply defined than the rest of reality. Oh heck, I give up!

Oh yeah, and on the overhead Jumbotron during the second show when Kevin's face appeared on the screen, his eyes were twinkling (his hair was at that growing out Howie stage) and he appeared to be trying not to smile! Blew my mind, I can tell you!

hmmm...my fave bsb concert memory? well, there are sooo many...lol. back in feb, my guy net friend (who was a fellow bsb fan...) flew over here from CA so that we could travel around to some bsb concerts together. had the absolute best time.

we met up with some more of our net friends, patti (God rest her soul), and susan and steph (susan is bsbmom3 in here!) in raleigh, nc and greensboro, nc. jake, patti, and i all went to denny's after the raleigh concert and didn't get back to our hotels until 2 in the morning...*sigh*.

(since i've mentioned patti, i'd like to give a little tribute to her. patti was a great friend and fellow fan of bsb. she was around 37 yo when she passed away last month. she died of complications to a c-section several hours after giving birth to twins: kylie and alex. may God keep his hand on those babies and their father. :()

The biggest thing I remember about the BSB concert I went to is... becoming a fan. I don't know why on earth I wasn't a fan before, but I wasn't. One of my friends called me an hour before the concert started--she had an extra ticket, and I went with her. I was so amazed and impressed with them at that show & that's what made me a fan. They've helped me get through so much since then and I'm so grateful to them :D

Fav BSB memory hhhmmmm..... thats a hard one, well the first one would be when one of the security gaurds from the venue took me and my friends to our seats and we found out they were front row, with the whole in the round thing it was kinda hard to find my seat, the second one would have to be when my friends and i touched nick during Larger than Life, and my third moment would be when they came back on the stage for I want it That way (i just love that song)

Howie flew over our side of the arena during QPG and I was only about 2 feet away from touching his hand when he flew above my seat, he was that close. And I know what you mean, Geeze. You know that they're real people, but when you actually see them in person, you're like, OMIGOD, they're REAL!

I miss the concerts so much. I absolutely loved them. The last concert I went to on the Millennium tour I had floor seats and I couldn't speak for about 5 minutes after they flew over my head to the stage and Nick got stuck right above me. The boy was hilarious!! He was pouting and everything. But I loved all of the concerts. Even the 1st Millennium one that I went to and my seats were on the 1st level. My friends were telling me I probably wouldn't be able to say anything. They were so much closer then I thought that they would be, I couldn't believe it.

But besides Nick being stuck and seeing all the boys, my favorite memory was seeing I'll Never Break Your Heart peformed. I absolutely loved it :D

I'm sure I'd have some awesome BSB concert memories.....when I finally attend a BSB concert :( They don't tour near me, and tickets are too expensive, but hearing all of your fav moments makes me feel like I was there :) BSBs concerts must be the best! :D

roskfallenangel - don't feel bad, kiddo, i'm a huge fan whose never gotten to see the Boys live either. They never seem to come to the midwest area i'm in. Not this time, either. Buy hearing everyone else's memories is very cool. I also loved "The One" video cause of that, seeing all the concert clips.

BBG - how long was Nick stuck and what did he do? Poor, baby. I know he hated that flying thing. I remember hearing him talk about how he and Brian really didn't want to do it, but they voted on it and were outvoted. "We're a democracy, so we had to do it." I didn't even know he knew what "democracy" meant. LOL, babydoll!

Jdene- Probably about a minute and a half. It was SO funny. They all started moving and then Nick just stopped right above me. The other guys didn't notice until Bri turned back and he started cracking up and he tapped Kev and pointed to Nick. It was so cute. Then I yelled "aww Nick whats wrong?" and he looked down and he was like "I'm stuck!" and he kept moving back and forth to try to force his way to the stage and it wasn't working. After he tried that a couple times he just folded his arms and started pouting because he was stuck and because the other guys were laughing at him. They eventually got him to move, unfortunately ;) hehe.

Well...I loved the whole Millennium concert!! But my favorite part had to be the opening, I just thought they whole thing was fricken awesome...with the dancers marching in, and then the countdown and all the smoke, and bam there they were. And ya just gotta love them marching around the stage, and getting that close up of Kevin's face on the Jumbotron, such a classic moment. I actually have very little memories from the first Millennium concert I went to in Buffalo cause I guess I was just sitting there in awe. But its all good, I'm just wondering how the heck they are gonna top that tour.

Just for future reference, and in case they do the flying thing again - what do you suppose is the going rate for bribing the equipment operators to strand Nick right above me????? (Just wanna make sure I have enough cash on hand. Also need to add ladder to concert equipment I need so I can climb up and rescue my baby. He, of course, will be eternally greatful to his courageous rescuer and will no doubt want to show it in any and all ways possible!)

I went to the millineum concert in oct of last year and i was in the second row my best memorie was at the end aj went around on top of a security guard and I touched his hand that was cool. :D :D

Just walking into the arena and knowing that I was in the same building as the boys was an amazing feeling. Another favorite moment was right before The Perfect Fan. Kevin was looking directly at me and he asked 'how many mothers are in the audience?' Since he was looking right at me, I decided to jump up and down and scream (eventhough I don't have any kids) ;) and he waved right at me!!! :D

Watching Brian and the rest of the guys flying into the arena. Then seeing them on stage.

Most of my concert was a blur but I would have to say when they came out on stage for the first time! :D I waited soooo long :)

BBG- i was at that show too. i was on the floor close to where nick was hanging and boy was it funny stuff. i was dying! i thought it was funny tho when he started flexing for the crowd and then did a superman kinda thing in the end when he got zipped to the stage. i have a pic of it, and whenever i look at it i laugh.

in the same show aj lost a shoe when they were wearing those yukkie pink suits which was pretty funny too. on the 15th we were laughing because aj had one different shoes than the other guys.

a great a moment was when brian flew right over our heads and we flashed him our sign and then my friend cought a bear from him!!

a not so good moment was when 10 other people tried to rip the bear right out of my friends arms!

i thought howies rap was a mighty funny part of the show, as was aj and nicks little dance hehe. although both are scripted, i thought they were funny.

there was this part when someone threw nick a twinkie and he acted like he was going to eat it.

also on the 15th, nick stole one of aj's hats which i thought was funny.... it was even funnier when aj stole it back!! LOL

Geezer, since I haven't had a chance to say it before, I am SO glad you are back. I missed your posts so much!!

For my first concert, our seats were not the greatest, but we were right beside the black box. Geezer, I thought my heart had stopped for a moment when they rose up and I saw them for the first time. I couldn't clap, scream, or anything. I just stood there staring with my hands on my heart. It was an incredible moment!

My second concert, we had 12th row in Atlanta (approximately, it is hard to count with the angled seating). My favorite moment there had to be in TTWILI, when AJ ripped that shirt off and just stood there for several seconds. He was absolutely the most beautiful perfect speciman of "walking sex on a stick" I have ever seen or ever hope to see. Then I looked over at my daughter, Nick worshiper that she is, who was in charge of picture taking. Did she capture a pic of my beautiful Bone in all his manliness? No, she was standing there with her mouth hanging open, drooling over MY Backstreet baby! She didn't ever remember she had a camera.

I can't wait for the B & B memories!

My favorite big moment would have to be during DWLYN at the Georgia Dome.. 70,000 screaming fans.. the boys are up there singing and I just turned to my friend and said "This is HISTORY." I just got this overwhelming flood of pride for those boys.

In Houston these girls threw this huge banner that was made out of a sheet up on stage and at the end Nick wrapped it around himself and was runnin around on stage actin like an idiot. SO cute.

Then.. the first time I noticed that during SMTM, after Nick would let go of Nikki, he would reach out to her then kind of smell his hand as he was walking away.

So the first concert.....The day I realized that this group of 5 guys was going to change my life. Brian was so beautiful.....but this character with a cow print cowboy hat kept jumping into the picture. I was hooked. Ride Cowboy Ride.

The Cleve/Indy trip.
Being taped at the Indy. show. I was dancing up a storm during Get Down and there is some dude literally in my face with a camera. AJ posing for the camera while flying over me. Brian pointing to Jamie's BLHHCFK shirt and saying nice shirt! (I think that was the loudest I have ever screamed.) Sharing the second nite with Kim. And then hitting her in the head during The One. LMAO!!!!
Meeting everyone. KIM FROM HAWAII!!!! YAY that was just amamzing. Meeting AJ and freaking out afterwards. The elevator scene with Marcus and AJ. Rona- "If you just close your eyes you'd swear it was Michelle." Moni and the peep hole. Us and Bubba. Alisa trying to act like she didn't care, but that twinkle that appeared in her eyes when we found out the news from Pablo. Alisa laughing at my tantrum while I walked right past Nick.
Oops those arent concert memories...oh well I had to do it.

Hey guys, I was just reading the replies and I got to the one where nick got stuck, and so I was about to reply and ask if you(BBG) were at the albany concert, but someone already did. I was at the one the next day, and I was chatting with the girl next to me who went to the one on valentine's day also and she told me and my friends how nick got stuck and she was right by him too! I didn't know so many people on LD live near me!

Well my favorite moment would be the suspense when they were on their surfboard thingys coming in. I was a fan then, but at that second I became a much bigger one that I am today!:) I also loved when Kevin came flying right above me, I didn't realize he was so close to me until I got my pics developed. From then on, I was in a daze :D. I also loved their performance of INBYH because it's my favorite song!

Ok well the first thing that came to my mind was when Kevin's pants fell down during our show!! OMG it was sooo funny! And then well, we had a time trying to get TO the concert considering we had to battle the Flood of the Century. But, OMG it was soooo much fun!! And just sitting there thinking that you are actually in the same building as them for 2 hours just blows my mind!! AHHHH I can't wait til January 26th!!!

funniest moment...that has to beon the first leg of the into the Millennium tour....we end up getting 7th row on the floor...10 minutes before the Boys went on stage...talk about luck. Anyways it was the first show, on September 21st 99...I unfortunately cant remember which shong the guys were singing but thats when they were all going back on the top on the stage...and Nick tripped on that one inch step and felt right on his face......didnt hurt himself but OH GOD was he embarassed hehe he just rolled once ..facing Brian and AJ...the 2 of them were laughing so hard...til they decide to help him to get up on his feet. That has to be the funniest thing so far. Nick was acting like it was all planned..yeah right lol

my favorite memory...

at the penn state concert on 02.11.00, someone threw a stuffed panda bear on stage to aj and he picked it up and made it wave to the crowd. it was so adorable ;)

well i have only seen them in concert once back in 1998 and it was my first concert ever and i remember thinking i cant believe im here right now looking at the backstreet boys in person, im at the same place as them at the same time. it was just amazing to me. the whole concert was great though but it was soooo long ago i dont remember my fave parts.

What a great topic. It made me start thinking about all my precious Millennium experiences and looking forward to B&B tour!

Here are my own favorite moments:

1. Brian pointing and smiling at me. I remember watching concert videos and thinking if he ever did that to me, my life would be over! Well, it obviously isn't over, but I will cherish that moment FOREVER!

2. Like Geeze said, seeing them for the first time and being so amazed that they were actually living, breathing humans!! And thinking how they looked better than I ever imagined and seeing with my own eyes how they interact & get along.

3. NICK ON THE POLE! (especially in Indianapolis the 2nd night) This took me by surprise...it wasn't until that moment that I realized how incredibly sexy this man is. His boyish nature can sometimes fool you, but for anyone who has seen him on the pole....this man KNOWS things!

4. Seeing the look on Brian & Kevin's eyes performing in Rupp Arena in Lexington. This was their dream come true and I felt so honored to be sharing the moment.

5. Watching Nick get behind the drums for the first time during BTYH. I had seen several Millennium shows prior to this one, and so this totally took me by surprise! I was so happy to share the moment with my sister, who LOVES Nick!

6. Being there the night of Brian's birthday and hearing the other guys sing him HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Brian seeing our "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN" sign and smiling.

7. The first time I had floor seats (Kansas City). I couldn't believe I was so close and how they looked more beautiful the closer I got. At the end of the show everyone rushed up to the front and Kevin was standing right in front of me! Then we saw Nick run out right by us. It was incredible being that close!

8. As AJ was running off the stage after ALAYLM carrying the chair, he looked right at me and kinda screamed as he jumped off the stage. Again, it took me totally by surprise and I couldn't believe it!

9. Nick in his hometown of Tampa. He was so hyper and excited. I remember AJ saying thanks to Tampa at the end "Now we know why Nick is so cool". It was also Tampa where they got those Santa hats. I know someone on this message board gave those to them. I forgot...who was it?

10. Falling in love with Orlando through BSB's eyes. After watching the Homecoming video hundreds of times, I was so excited to be in THAT arena! I loved Orlando so much that I moved here about 6 months after that show.

I know I was lucky enough to go to several Millennium concerts. Each one of our experiences are special and personal. They have changed my life in an incredible way and I am helplessly HOOKED on THEM!

I would have to say that at my first time seeing them...during SMTMBL and they were turning around I looked at Aj and he was crying i was like awwwwww...thats when i really began liking Aj really..

Third conert i went to it was funny me and my friend were at the mall close by the arena and i saw AJ shopping for shoes..we wentback and forth about if it was him or not...(Im saying it was my story im sticking to it!!)...after the concert we were standing outside and this bus goes down the street and we swear Howie was in front on the phone.so now when we see each other we look at each other and go "It was Howie." we just start laughing.

1) I dont know how I managed this, but i was wondering threw a hall after the concert (where i wasnt supposed to be) and i guess they were getting ready to leave....... well nick saw me .....I WAS SHOCKED, and i guess he noticed.....his smile is so sexy!.........he was like,"waaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssaaaaaaappppppppp"( i couldnt say a word!) well he came over, we huged (he is so easy to hug, its like hugging a teady bear) he offered to take a pic, so i did, then he was like what are you doing back here, i was like "you know, just looking around", well we talked for about 15 min untill he had to go. he is so sweet!

2) when he waved during another show

3) when he put his head on my shoulder and acted like he was asleep(he was explaining how he wanted to go to bed) and his hair smelled good....
