Once the frenzy surrounding Willa Ford's first week as new lead singer for the Pussycat Dolls calmed, Saturday afternoon found us doing what girls do best: chatting on the phone.

You've officially been a Pussycat Doll for a week now. What's the worst part?

They put me in a champagne glass. And I have constant bruises. I kept getting this bruise on my thigh and I wondered where it was coming from. There's a part in "Foxy Lady" when I thrash around. Turns out I was hitting my hip with the mike!

Do you have a favorite number?

There's a new rock section with "Foxy Lady" and "A Whole Lotta Love." I love that.

Describe the scene in the dressing room before showtime.

[Giggling] Well, Darcy, the bathtub girl, is on first and she's always the last one ready. And if anyone says, "Oh, I forgot my earrings" or something, it's usually me.

Where do you like to stay, play and dine?

I love TheHotel at Mandalay. It's not so much old Vegas; it's sleek. And we do the show till about 1 a.m., but I'm loving Pure. I love a good steak; I love Morton's, I love Pink Taco. But every night after the show, it's Denny's.

I have to know: which Denny's?

On Trop and Decatur. I totally know what each girl orders, too.

I'm so there! Any gambling?

I play Let It Ride. I always double my money and leave.

You hear that, Caesars? At the risk of taking a stiletto boot in the mouth, I have to ask, what have you done to overcome the anti-Willa websites over your romance with Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter?

I don't think I even did anything to overcome them. When you're 13 or 14, you don't have a license. So what do you do? You sit at a computer. My music isn't for them, really. It's for the older high-school and college crowd. The college girls really get it and understand what it means to be a "bad girl."

And the little girls?

They grew up! Now they're fans!

Your last scheduled performance is on August 13. What's the plan after that?

I'm here to figure that out. This is my time to figure out what I'm doing next.

Anything else you want to tell the world, Vegas, me?

We really want to establish our own identity. The Las Vegas Pussycat Dolls stage show is completely separate from the touring Dolls. Is there any way you can work that in?

Yeah, she's never brought up the topic even when she first started out in the business. This is probably gonna upset someone, but Nick is actually the reason I became a fan. I liked the song IWBB, but as soon as the rumor started that she beat up Nick, I was an instant fan. The thought of this girl punching a boy band member was just too great! Weird, I know, but that's me.

BTW, I've never actually read this forum, but did she ever have an album after her single "A Toast To Men"?

Ooh. Well I still think that you shouldn't judge someone on reputation or on nick. Big deal, she's gonna speak what she wants you, and she better after considering what kids young dumbass fans have done, and some still do.

And you should judge her on the fact that she puts it all out their--her believe, personality, and who she is--doesn't change anything to get people's approval!

She is really talented, singer/songwriter/producer/director/vocal arranger/beat creator/choreographer/etc.

By 2003 Willa finished "SexySexObsessive," an album featuring her smash hit "A Toast To Men," which is her biggest club/dance hit to date! It went mainstream and Hip-Hop and the single hit #1 on the Top 200 Singles Sales Chart, and rotated in the Top 3 and Top 5 on the chart for over four months!

Problems with Lava Records are keeping it delayed, so she left the label and is still fighting for the rights.

So far, she has a batch of new records that a label [hint: starts with "W" and is Mandy Moore's new label; that I must and should be "hush hush" about until its publisized] fell in love with the new recordings and immediately wanted to sign her. As of over a week ago, more so 2 weeks ago Willa was still in talks with them and reading over contracts. The label was hoping for an end-of-the-year release. And thats the news. She is currently the new lead singer for the PCD's AKA the Pussycat Dolls. Read the latest articles!

And there are artists that *Little* likes that I don't and vice versa but there is no reason to jump on people for not thinking your favorite celeb is the greatest thing since sliced bread! For example I totally adore Jon Bon Jovi and *Little* and I joke about it often cause she's not all that into him but never do I tell her "oh you should like him because he's a great songwriter and singer and this and taht and well basically everything you said about Willa I can say about Jon...." if she doesn't think he's the cat's meow so be it! *shrugs* Some folks like Willa's music but not her personality. Some don't like anything about her. Some adore her as you do. Just be happy in your fandom and if she's not someone else's fave... oh well. I never said I was a hater. I like some of her songs and I bought her album. What facts did I state that is wrong? I miss read about judging the music, I'm sorry about that.... The reason I come to the Willa board is because I think she is interesting.
