and while it's true that Na Na (whatever the hell her name is) did indeed sing background vocals in "baby one more time", her vocals are minor in comparison, thus making Britney bigger and better.

Yes I agree, she probably is singing on the album. Afterall it is her album. It is nothing to give her credit for. She just isn't doing a very good job. In a modern studio you can make anyones voice sound good. Just look at Ashlee Simpson, she sounds good on the radio(pieces of me) but in concert she sings offkey. I know because I watch saturday night live and she was singing playback. Anyways back to Britney. She is a product put out to make her record label money. Sure most artists are and have always been but atleast some of them have talent and Britney doesn't. Simon from American Idol was asked how far Britney would go on the show and he answered with a smile "Probably not very far" . Kelly Clarkson I must say is very talented. Her voice is amazing.

That's funny considering all three judges agreed that Britney would've been in the top 10 if she wasn't a star already on Jay Leno. They also said that she would've won because she was talented, and very nice. Simon said that Baby and Toxic are some of the few songs he considers classics in today's music biz.

Recently Simon was asked how far she would have gone and he sayed" Probably not very far considering the competition. For instance, make Britney and Kelly C compete against each other and Britney wouldn't stand a chance, in my opinion anyway. And I agree Toxic is a very catchy song, although the song probably is made (composed) on the computer. She didn't even write it... Cathy Dennis did. And I know, you can be a talented musician even though you don't make your own music. But that doesn't apply for Britney. The girl can't sing, can't dance, can't compose her own music(nice music) isn't a traditional entertainer. God bless the Eagles. Why is she a star? I would say it's all about image. She is a fantasy for many youngsters. It's not about the music. Youngsters dream about being like her, looking like her etc etc that's why she is BIG. In my opinion her image is fake. :devil:

I suppose that might be true. I've never seen her perform so I wouldn't know. But to me good entertainment means good singing. Not jumping around on stage, If I want to see dancing I'll go and see a dance show. Britney in my opinion doesn't fill up arenas because of her entertaining skills. She isn't even a good singer. She fills them up because of her image.Youngsters want to look like her, be like her.If she were fat her fanbase wouldn't even be half of what it is now. They've always excisted but never been as many as now. Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Ashlee SimpsonJ Loetc etcthink about this once. First of all I don't measure success by how well something does economically, but for what it is to me, Do I like it? do I think it's good? It's no surprise Crossroads did ok in the boxoffice, since she has so many teeny fans, lol. And if you were to measure talent by how successful you are or have been then Milli Vanilli are/were talented. Lol. God, you are stupid. The grammy is not going to get the songwriter the award for Best Dance Recording. It goes to the vocalist, who happens to be Ms. Spears. The academy recognized the ENTIRE SONG (VOCALS, computerized or not, MUSIC, and LYRICS) as their selection. Just because I said she has average vocals doesn't mean she can't win a grammy. You don't have to have the best voice in the world to win it. It's about the material, whether you wrote it or not. I'm not surprised that you didn't know that. Songwriters have a designated category, Song of the Year, which Toxic was not nominated for. However, the award still goes to Britney because ultimately it is her song. Writing credits were given where due. Comprende?

First of all I'm a university student studying for my Bachelors degree. You've got complex young lady. Can't you accept other peoples opinions?? Your opinion doesn't always have to be the right one. Second of all, I know how the Grammys work. It seems as if you don't know how to read. Oh well they'll teach you that at a university. When you use a sourse of some sort you must always quote what they say. Word for word. You can't make up your own mind to what the sourse says and doesn't say. Comprendo? By the way, I'm pretty confident that this proves that you are hypocrite. If you look at your previous posts, you say that success doesn't determine if you like a band or not. However, I do think it's funny that you start throwing in numbers here and there. Obviously record sales apparently does have an effect on you, or you wouldn't feel the need to throw out figures. :roll:

The sad thing is that they were in need of a record deal so they signed with Lou Pearlman and he ripped them off. :bluesad: The reason why I again mentioned that they went platinum is because Britney_rocks said they hadn't gone platinum, Lol and I had to fresh up her memory since her statement was false. To my knowledge they don't have backup singers. They're a vocal group and don't need it. Well sure their fans have grown up and sure they have lost some fans. I'm not gonna deny that. But the economy has changed, music has changed and music downloads are the primary reasons for them(artists in general) losing fans. I have been a fan for 8 years though and have matured alot since then. But so has their music. I like it(their music and am not defending that. And why don't you just drop the grammy discussion?
