anyone with half a brain would realize that on the album credits, the main performer vocals, as well as the background vocals go to BRITNEY.
and while it's true that Na Na (whatever the hell her name is) did indeed sing background vocals in "baby one more time", her vocals are minor in comparison, thus making Britney bigger and better.
so shut the f**k up.

Yes I agree, she probably is singing on the album. Afterall it is her album. It is nothing to give her credit for. She just isn't doing a very good job. In a modern studio you can make anyones voice sound good. Just look at Ashlee Simpson, she sounds good on the radio(pieces of me) but in concert she sings offkey. I know because I watch saturday night live and she was singing playback. Anyways back to Britney. She is a product put out to make her record label money. Sure most artists are and have always been but atleast some of them have talent and Britney doesn't. Simon from American Idol was asked how far Britney would go on the show and he answered with a smile "Probably not very far" . Kelly Clarkson I must say is very talented. Her voice is amazing.

That's funny considering all three judges agreed that Britney would've been in the top 10 if she wasn't a star already on Jay Leno. They also said that she would've won because she was talented, and very nice. Simon said that Baby and Toxic are some of the few songs he considers classics in today's music biz.

Recently Simon was asked how far she would have gone and he sayed" Probably not very far considering the competition. For instance, make Britney and Kelly C compete against each other and Britney wouldn't stand a chance, in my opinion anyway. And I agree Toxic is a very catchy song, although the song probably is made (composed) on the computer. She didn't even write it... Cathy Dennis did. And I know, you can be a talented musician even though you don't make your own music. But that doesn't apply for Britney. The girl can't sing, can't dance, can't compose her own music(nice music) isn't a traditional entertainer. God bless the Eagles. Why is she a star? I would say it's all about image. She is a fantasy for many youngsters. It's not about the music. Youngsters dream about being like her, looking like her etc etc that's why she is BIG. In my opinion her image is fake.

Christina Aguilera is a 100 times more talented.

I suppose that might be true. I've never seen her perform so I wouldn't know. But to me good entertainment means good singing. Not jumping around on stage, If I want to see dancing I'll go and see a dance show. Britney in my opinion doesn't fill up arenas because of her entertaining skills. She isn't even a good singer. She fills them up because of her image.Youngsters want to look like her, be like her.If she were fat her fanbase wouldn't even be half of what it is now. They've always excisted but never been as many as now. Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Ashlee SimpsonJ Loetc etcthink about this once. There are millions of extremely talented female singers in this world and it's sad that we"the public" chooses image infront of talent.

Well first of all, let me say this...just because someone has an average voice, doesn't mean you can't be a fan of them. Second, you are a troll and whether you like it or not, Britney has some kind of effect on you, because you keep coming back to this forum. Now admit you are a troll or that you secretly desire here...As for a good concert, most people I know enjoy a concert that makes you dance instead of a singer who justs sits on the stage and shows of...that's why Britney is still here. She can entertain her ass off, and there's no denying that.
By the way, get over your little beef with Britney's grammy. She deserved it because Toxic was quality material.

First of all she didn't write Toxic nor did she compose it AND she's an average singer, you said so yourself so why did she win a grammy? She had nothing to do with the song. Giving Britney Spears a Grammy is the same thing as not giving Russel Crowe an academy award for "A Beautiful MIND". But that just goes to show you that awards don't really mean anything today. I am on here cause I enjoy discussing Britneys AMAZING voice . :) Earning millions for doing crap "Crossroads" Lol sure sounds tempting. That is my opinion. I'm not gonna discuss *what good entertainment is*with you because I go to a concert to listen to a great singer, A GREAT artist, and not to see dancing but that is a matter of taste. You are some ignorant. Get over the fact that Britney won the grammy. She sung Toxic...it was an awesome song with crossover appeal. The grammy is her's, that ain't going to change. Apparently you can read either. It's "CarnivalKING"...that's a male, but I guess your head was too far up your ass to notice. Second of all, I love how you can defend what you say and then go on to something else...that's just classic. I know Britney isn't perfect, unlike you who is unable to believe that your artist has flawes. Yes, I never think the Backstreet Boys will ever get back to their fame...that's just a fact, and btw, how many albums did Never Gone sell? That's not the point. First of all I don't measure success by how well something does economically, but for what it is to me, Do I like it? do I think it's good? It's no surprise Crossroads did ok in the boxoffice, since she has so many teeny fans, lol. This just keeps getting better and better. You say on one hand, you don't measure successful economically, then throw in those BSB #'s. What a load of crap. That there just proved your hypocrisy, (i.e. I don't like a band because of their success, but blah blah had this...make up your mind!) . Anyway, as I have said before, the academy recognized Toxic as the quality song that it is. A song that includes lyrics, music, and yes vocals. All of which they felt were deserving of an award. Are you bitter than the Backstreet Boys have no grammy? Is that what this is all about? Also, just because someone has an average voice doesn't make them "untalented"...that's a pretty big generalization on your behalf. Granted, there are a bunch of people I know, along with critics, that would talk about the bsb, yet I don't feel the need to deliberately come on another artist's board, apparently one I don't like, and bash. You seem not to be getting the point that Britney sang Toxic. Are you retarded or something? That's what she had to do with the song. She sang it! Best Dance Song went to Toxic because the academy felt it was the best nominee. Your question, why did it go to her? Why does Best Pop Song go to this artist or why does best rock album go to that artist? Because that's how the academy does it. Once again, Toxic's crossover appeal is stellar...even non-fans dug it. For Christ's sake, even Nikki Sixx said it was a quality song it. After explaining this to you, the rest of your message remains incoherent. Oh, if that's too big a word for you, that means it doesn't make any sense. Go listen to your BSB cd's....just leave this board already. :o

There's no denying that some of the vocals are computerized; that's obvious...but that's what makes the song. It's a song that's on its way to becoming a classic.

First of all, why don't you read what I write?. Britney sings the song. Yes for your info,. It is her song. But she didn't compose it nor did she write the lyrics to it. So my point is if she has an average voice(stinky voice in my opinion) then why did she get a grammy for toxic? Why didn't Cathy Dennis get the grammy? She wrote the damn song. YES I know Britney sings the song but her voice is average. It stinks. You said it was average yourself. It definitely isn't grammy material. Well actually the song is but Britneys voice(singing) isn't. And I am not asking why she got in general. I know that. The academy was drunk :D Again as you said. Her voice is average and she didn't write the song. Do you understand this time around or shall I spell it out for you?? LALALALA :D I LOVE THIS BOARD :]

God, you are stupid. The grammy is not going to get the songwriter the award for Best Dance Recording. It goes to the vocalist, who happens to be Ms. Spears. The academy recognized the ENTIRE SONG (VOCALS, computerized or not, MUSIC, and LYRICS) as their selection. Just because I said she has average vocals doesn't mean she can't win a grammy. You don't have to have the best voice in the world to win it. It's about the material, whether you wrote it or not. I'm not surprised that you didn't know that. Songwriters have a designated category, Song of the Year, which Toxic was not nominated for. However, the award still goes to Britney because ultimately it is her song. Writing credits were given where due. Comprende?
In case you don't understand how the Grammys work, which either you don't or won't accept, here's a brief overview:
The process begins with members and record companies submitting entries, which are then screened for eligibility and category placement. The Academy's voting members, all involved in the creative and technical processes of recording, then participate in (1) the nominating process that determines the five finalists in each category; and (2) the final voting process which determines the GRAMMY winners.
And btw, you are a like a girl on crack. Make up your mind...the song isn't quality, oh yes it is. Get over it. Britney received the grammy, you bitching about it won't change that. Go on and cry back to your board where your poor little Backstreet Boys are still grammy less.

First of all I'm a university student studying for my Bachelors degree. You've got complex young lady. Can't you accept other peoples opinions?? Your opinion doesn't always have to be the right one. Second of all, I know how the Grammys work. It seems as if you don't know how to read. Oh well they'll teach you that at a university. When you use a sourse of some sort you must always quote what they say. Word for word. You can't make up your own mind to what the sourse says and doesn't say. Comprendo? Third of all, that Britney won a grammy isn't even worth discussing with you since you're to wasted on marijuana or something to read through my post. Have you gotten this far yet? ok well lets carry on then Lol So my point with all these letters that have been posted here in the past is that Britney really really sucks. She can't sing, she can't compose her own music, she can't dance. Why do you think she needs backround dancers/singers?? Lol. She is a product from her recordlabel. I believe it's Jive, is it not? Anyways as I've said in my previous posts, she is an image. Do you really think people would still like her if she wasn't attractive? If she was fat? To be honest with you I don't think so. Young kids want to be like her, look like her and bla bla bla... That's what it is all about if you ask me. As soon as her fans grow up, I think she will take a walk on the BOARDWALK and hopefully there will be hotels built on there :D If you don't agree, that's fine. I don't mind'. It's simply your opinion. Please accept mine. And no I won't be going anywhere soon. I like this BOARD :D :D :]

I think it's quite laughable that you lecture me in your post then excuse yourself from proper grammatical use by stating it's slang. If you're going to use slang, at least spell it right Ms. University student. Also, I think you may need help with sentence structure and coherence. Frankly, some of your senses don't make sense at all. Concerning the quotations, it is a fact that one doesn't have to quote if he or see directly references the bearer of the information...but I couldn't expect such from yourself. :funny:

I accept your opinion yet also have the right to challenge it. After all, that is my God given American freedom. Why don't you learn to cope with that! I think you have a lot of nerve even suggesting that Britney is manufactured when the Backstreet Boys PUBLICLY ADMITTED they were being controlled by Lou Perlman. Who's a puppet now? Last time I checked the Backstreet Boys also have numerous backup dancers and vocalists. Hasn't their popularity declined as well? I guess their fans must have grown up as well. Isn't life funny like that? Concerning my discussion of the Grammy Awards, it is my opinion that you are bitter that your precious little boys are still non-grammy winners. I bet you feel really bad, don't you? Essentially, you can keep hating on Britney because what you think won't change the way things are. She is happy and your comments won't bring her or her fans down. Also, for a "university student", you surely don't pride yourself as being mature. Please take a glance at some of your comments from the past (i.e. Stink me baby one more time, etc.) Lastly, I'd like to ask you to please leave. Yes, I'm pretty sure everyone here understands your distaste for Britney. Great, now please leave and grow up.
P.S. You like this board because you are a pest. Were you dropped on your head as a baby or are you just an attention craving whore?
As for the Backstreet Boys, I wish them success. Unlike you, I can maintain being classy concerning an artist or group I don't particularily enjoy.

Well congratulations to them. For your information, Britney's Greatest Hits album has just reached the 6 million mark world wide.
By the way, I'm pretty confident that this proves that you are hypocrite. If you look at your previous posts, you say that success doesn't determine if you like a band or not. However, I do think it's funny that you start throwing in numbers here and there. Obviously record sales apparently does have an effect on you, or you wouldn't feel the need to throw out figures.

Good evening. Yes of course you have the right to challenge it. That is the beauty with our country, Freedom.
The Backstreet boys are self created. That's why all of them actually can sing. The sad thing is that they were in need of a record deal so they signed with Lou Pearlman and he ripped them off. :bluesad: The reason why I again mentioned that they went platinum is because Britney_rocks said they hadn't gone platinum, Lol and I had to fresh up her memory since her statement was false. To my knowledge they don't have backup singers. They're a vocal group and don't need it. Well sure their fans have grown up and sure they have lost some fans. I'm not gonna deny that. But the economy has changed, music has changed and music downloads are the primary reasons for them(artists in general) losing fans. I have been a fan for 8 years though and have matured alot since then. But so has their music. I like it(their music and am not defending that. And why don't you just drop the grammy discussion? As I said, she won it. I'm not gonna congratulate her cause I don't think she deserved it but I accept that she won it. Good for her. And yes I mean it. The " Stink me baby one more time" was a joke. REALLY you didn't like my joke? :D
Don't YOU see the irony in your posts?. You say I'm unmature and yet you are the one using foul words like whore, bitch troll etc etc. Yes I know, you'll probably defend your low vocabulary usage with something dumb. But that's ok. Go ahead.

Wow, I'm actually surprised by this post. You can actually be intelligent if you want to. As for my vocabulary, sometimes fighting fire with fire is the only way to get across to some people, which I have obviously done. Now that everything is kosher, I'm pretty sure everyone would appreciate if you would leave. It would just be better that way.

Well actually I don't believe in that theory. If you attack someone and you are verbally aggressive then most people are going to get offended, maybe even hurt and will defend themselves. Respect creates new respect. Anyways I'll have to run so what do you say, peace? :D
