'Lizzie McGuire' star to headline Pheasant Lane Mall event Aug. 14
NASHUA -- Area teens and tweens will be dancing to the beat of an up-and-coming TV and pop star Lalaine in a live performance at Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua when Simon DTour Live, a national teen event headlining fresh young musical talent, hits town on Aug. 14., A Simon Property Group proprietary program, Simon DTour Live will visit 25 Simon malls across the country, which includes exciting singing talent and interactive entertainment. Finalists from area "Get Into the Mix" teen singing competitions will also compete at DTour for the chance to win prizes, including a professional music mixing station and Simon Visa gift cards.
Highlights of the free event, which runs from noon to 6 p.m., include Lalaine, who will headline the show with live performances. Known by fans as Miranda on the Disney Channel's hit TV series Lizzie McGuire, the 18-year-old star of stage, screen and television is ready to make an impact on the world of music.
Her single, "I'm Not Your Girl," hit stores Aug 2, and her debut album on Reprise Records is set for release later this year.
"Whatever I'm doing, I'm always thinking about the next song I'm going to write or record," said Lalaine. "Music is such a great way to express yourself and discover who you really are."
Those who purchase a copy of Lalaine's new single throughout the day will receive a bracelet that allows them a spot in line for the autograph session. The autograph signing is limited to the first 500 people.
In between Lalaine's appearances, teens can check out the newest games, gizmos and fashions. They can start by picking up a free "Swag Bag" to fill with take-home samples and offers as they experience the best action the sponsors can offer.
