(Middletown, RI) -- A Rhode Island man is facing simple assault charges for slapping a cigarette out of a teenager's hand. The "Providence Journal" reports that 52-year-old David Wilks was pumping gas on Saturday night at a station in Middletown when he spotted a 17-year-old girl walking through the pumping area smoking a cigarette. Police say a verbal exchange ensued, Wilks knocked the cigarette from the girl's hand and the girl punched Wilks in return. Wilks was arrested a short time later in Newport.
She's in a situation where she could blow everyone up and he's the one in trouble?
