In the latest Issue of Ok! magazine, JANICE DlCKENSON, one of the World's first Supermodels and former judge on tv's 'America's Next Top Model' had this to say about Brit.

Ok!: What Celebrity do you think has potential as a supermodel?

Janice: I've seen many celebrities in top fashion magazines such as Vogue, W, and Bazaar, but the only celebrity whose photos stick in my head are Britney Spears'. I know people think she is commercial, but the power she has in her eyes and lips are breathtaking. She can look like the the girl next door you think you can have, and the sophisticated icon you can't even dream of having!

Yup! I read this earlier. Britney has potential for everything she sets her mind to. That's what makes her so great!

Britney isn't really the supermodel type IMO. That's not a bad thing though...

The only thing that's going against her is her height. But if you saw that one season with Eva on it. She won the competition and she was like 5'4 or 5'5. ;)

Eva was 5'8" or 5'7" as shortest...

minimum height for ANTM models are 5'7"

ANTM is not about supermodels, it's a TV show made for ratings.

She's got too much of a "build" to her.. She's a beautiful girl, I'm not saying that she isn't.. But models are like 90lbs.. And Britney has a dancers body.. And their ain't anything wrong with that.. :)

Don't take it as a compliment when that comment is coming from Janice inson.

Have you seen her lately?

so how a person looks or acts makes their opinion less correct?

PLEASE.

Janice D**ckinson might be one psychotic b*tch, but her experience in the modeling industry is uncomparable. She knows a beautiful face when she sees one. get over it.

that's the model world: fake. I'm not so sure what's such a compliment about the fact that you are such a good pretender.

I mean.. good, great looks.. to me they're overstyled, and they don't even look close to that in reality, so what's the use in it? pretty pictures? well, let's hope there will be others striving for higher things than that.

i'm shocked. as a self proclaimed, "unbaised" forum member, i would've at least expected a mediocre reply from you.

Janice was refering to the ART of modeling and photography. If you were smart, you'd realize that to be a good model, you have to have more than just a pretty face. Janice describes the way Britney uses her eyes and her lips in photographs to capture whichever theme the photoshoot presents.

practice what you preach and open your eyes a little more, kiddie.

oh my god :funny: do you ever read? nothing I said was against Britney, but somehow I knew you were gonna come up with such a statement. because everything which isn't an echo of what you say is bad and evil, sheesh.

it's okay to become a trademark in a photoshoot, because some wannabe photographer says "smile like this, put your arm there, now look lascivious"?

it's funny how you mistake a point of view against modelbusiness as a personal attack on Britney. I don't like this kind of photography, for reasons. and because I know people can do so much better than that. modelbusiness is as shallow as it can get out there (which doesn't mean that Britney is shallow, I didn't say that with one word, so damn, learn to read)

to me there is more to photography than this shallow way of portraying someone, who doesn't look like that without all the make-up anyways. and THAT doesn't mean they don't look good without the make-up, in my opinion more often better than covered with it.

see, go read Roland Barthes, take a tour through Abraham Menashe's photography, maybe you then will know where my animosity against model buisiness stems from. and please, get your head out of your butt, and stop your teeny behavior, it's really a pain that you jump at everything like that, just because you don't read clearly and are not willing to understand.

sad (but psycho), "you kiddie"

She's pretty. But to me there's no supermodel potential.
