Lindsay Lohan and Alicia Keys are among the stars left stranded as tropical storm Katrina threatens to ruin Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards in Miami, Florida.
The singers failed to make it to Miami Beach before all flights in and out of the city were canceled due to driving rains and strong winds.
It's not known when normal service at local airports will be resumed. An MTV spokesman says, "The good news is that many of the performers and guests are already in Miami."
Meanwhile, Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx's Miami Vice remake has become the latest victim of the storm, which has already forced Diddy to cancel a record label launch party.
The set of the film has been temporarily closed to let the storm pass.
