to recover from this moron named George W. Bush. Now he has the appointment of 2 Supreme Court Justices in his hands.
I feel so bad for our children and their children.
America is eventually going to be a country of the Super Rich and the Unbelievably Poor, with no middle class.
Thanks George, for ruining a great Country.

So not only did you not use the policital forum to post this crap, you didn't use the existing Rehnquist thread on this forum to post this crap.
Do we have any moderators around here?

Well, he's not the first King George to create problems. Moreover, it's often these kinds of situations that give rise to great people. I'm not so sure America is lost - she's merely lost her way under the misguided "leadership" of this patrician fop.

And George Bush is the missing link.
Dead famous people are posted on here routinely. It matters not. Carry on.

Political commentary should remain in the political forum.

Saying Rehnqusit is dead is not political.
Your other comment should have been made in the the political forum.
You're smart enough to know the difference.

I thought a little civil silliness was in order, Chancellor! I give you credit for being civil in your assertions and plain spoken. We may disagree on the shrubbery of our nation, but we're in agreement on one thing: treat people with respect and they'll treat you with respect.
New Orleans - what a crying shame, no matter how you look at it. Pray for the best, religious or not, because no one deserves their present fate.

Considering the circumstances, maybe we should make Luzianne iced tea.

In the furtherance of a good example of how good people can smooth over contentious moments, might I not only recommend lapsang souchong but commend to you one of the finest songs every written:

Nope. Nothing beats a cool, tall glass of Loozyanna iced tea. And they serve it two ways. With sugar or with a LOT of sugar. Spent many a summer in the Gulf Coast. Heck, Pascagoula is practically my summer home.

Ah but what a nice cold mug of Iron City with Michael Moore? Ahhhhhhhh - satisfying inside and out!

Sorry to be so pessimistic but our country may never recover. Our rights have only begun to be stripped away. With two Supremes appointed by GWB, we'll move closer and closer to a theocracy. We have not even begun to get a grasp on the damage GWB has inflicted on this country.
A recent article in the New Yorker talked about how well organized the "conservatives" are. (I put the word in quotes because they aren't concerned this Administration is out of control when it comes to spending.) They only want one kind of people in this country -- people who think exactly as they do.
